        How does one use a USB hub with a chromecast? USB input for video playback?

          I use it to add storage. Mine has a MicroSD card slot but you can also use the USB for storage. Others also use USB-C hubs with Ethernet to fix connection issues. Many hubs don’t work though and you need PD-pass through as well as a AC adaptor with more power.

      Checked it, and the USB-C Port is USB 2.0 Type-C, so it can not work, It needs USB 3.0 or USB3.1

    Reading the reviews on Amazon, these have issues disconnecting randomly. This is similar to another port hub I own which makes it near useless for large file transfers.

        Yeah it was bad, couldn't perform the file transfers I needed and was worse the more devices plugged in. A simple USB stick might be fine but a hard drive gave me problems. Hard drive would work fine without the hub.

        I never used mine for mouse and keyboard so I can't confirm if it will affect a keyword and mouse (simple devices). Maybe it is only power-intensive devices but I'd go for a well-known brand to avoid the hassle. Keep in mind the one I had was a different brand but the reviews looks like it has the same problem.
