[Afterpay] 15% off UppaBaby Vista V2 Pram $1469.65 (RRP $2099) + Delivery @ Baby Online Direct eBay

120
AFPYDY15

This pram is pretty well reviewed. Typically the price is around $1650, but you can usually get some sort of deal at the baby expos. The baby expos have been cancelled until the end of the year in some states due to covid lockdowns, so this is the best price I've found.

One of the benefits of this pram is you can have two babies/toddlers on it, and it doesn't take away from the storage basket.

Edit: postage depends on location mine was $15-19

This is part of Afterpay Day sale for 2021

Looks like a good offer, any reason why it's not?
      A soon-to-be mum, so wondering…

You could get a baby jogger for half the price

We bought a vista years ago and it is still going 2 kids later. Would recommend for ease of use and features.

          • +3

@Vombatidae: Plenty of old baby joggers also going strong. It's a pram mate, not a F1 car

            • @mlburnian: Ok, thanks for your thoughtful analysis. Really selling the Baby jogger to me.

        • +2

Why would you buy a baby jogger when you can buy a pram from Kmart for $50.

  • Any thoughts on this vs the BabyBee Duo2?

    • +1

Look I'm no pram expert, I've had a demo on the vista and liked how it felt. I think a point if difference between these two prams is that if you do have a second child on the duo they take up basket space.

    • +1

Probably go try and demo both if you can as you'll like the feel or ergonomics of one more. Could that extra $500 be used elsewhere? also that you'll need to buy the extra seat for the UPPAbaby by the looks. That's quite a few cartons of beer saved, unless you're a Sours drinker and it's just 2 cartons worth

  • Mine comes to $1508 with postage of $39

    hasta la vista, baby

These are great prams. Comparing it to a car, these would be a Rolls Royce..

My only complaint is that my 2 year old is pretty much too big for it now.

Any bargains on a device that will stop kids growing?

    • Too big? From memory the primary seat goes to 23kg and the mini seat 16kg

If putting two kids in, it looks squishy long before they are too heavy but they seem to fit for another year

  • Looking to buy a pram soon but damn, did not expect it to cost more than car

Good pram. No pram is perfect so still expect the following (not worse than other prams):

    1. Still heavy and consumes a lot of boot space with a second seat
    2. One in front of the other seat design makes it hard to get up a kerb. Including having just one kid but in the front
    3. Storage space decent but there's no way you're getting more than two bags in it

Key thing is GUMTREE. We paid $550 for one with two seats. Iirc there's three models:

    2014-2019 (might be 2020)
    Older models
    Newer models

Don't know if you can get spare parts on the old models, check with the distributor, they have amazing support.

Also if buying second hand test the brake releases/engages with one push. That's the one part that's badly engineered. We replaced our chassis with a new one and it wasn't any better. But we live with it, doesn't bother us much

I find this amount of money quite high for a pram.

The missus insisted on getting a Bugaboo Bee3, I think it was around $1100 on special.

The missus tried to extol the virtues of the Bee3 by telling me its light, its maneuverability, its comfort for the child.

I found that all to be false.

The ones half the price of the prestige brands are also light and the difference would be like hundreds of grams, not kilograms, for the amount of money you pay the marginal benefit is SMALL.

The maneuverability is a fallacy too, virtually all prams can navigate bumps and kerbs, pivot on a coin, be capable of jogging speeds etc.

I think its the badge that is what is attractive.

    • +1

Yeah, seems some men like pushing around designer prams

    • If you are going jogging then no, not all prams can handle it. The pram in question would not be a good jogging pram and neither would a bugaboo bee. Mountain buggy make good 'crossover' prams with air filled tyres and suspension that can handle jogging.

  • A great price for sure. After doing a lot of research and looking instore, this is definitely on the larger size of pram. With a smaller car or a smaller house, I wouldn't recommend this.

If you want something a bit more portable i'd suggest the Cruz by the same brand. If you have a second child you can add a little skateboard attachment at the back. Also pricing wise, babybunting offer a 5% price discount like officeworks so might be able to get this at an even better price.

I'd suggest doing some of your own research about buying second hand core baby goods as the savings may not be worth it.

  • Tried to purchase this and my afterpay limit is only $600.00 (I've made one afterpay purchase for $35 once before on ebay)

Anyone know a work around for this?

    • Same thing happens to me! I bought some gift cards via shopback and it went through!

      • Did you buy gift cards through shopback with afterpay or did you buy eBay gift cards?

    • It should allow you to pay a larger portion upfront to get through.

  • What's the lowest this price has ever got to?

  • I access the product page from the "go to deal" but the price is showing as AU $1,779.00. This there anything else you need to do to get that price?

    • +1

Sorry, I should have been more clear! The code is AFPYDY15, and you have to pay with Afterpay.

Although it looks like the list price has gone up since I put up this bargain so it might be slightly more now.
