So following on from that questionable Mistral pizza oven here's a deal on the black Masterpro that will make a great pizza for the price.

Go load up on some 00 flour from the supermarket or even better lots of it your local bulk food supplier , get some San Marzano tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella and go make some lockdown pizza!

The black one here doesn't have a window on top which just means you need to open the top to see how it's cooking. You could get the Red one for $95 here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224552458987 (or even cheaper with AFPYDY15 + Afterpay)

$85.49 with the code BUY10OFF, code P12OFF for Ebay plus members will bring it down even more, or if you're happy with Afterpay use AFPYDY15 for $80.75.

      • I got shipping notification late Tuesday. AP notification this morning to say it's onboard for delivery…made a batch of dough…nothing arrived.

  • Thanks OP, received mine today :)

  • Anyone from Melbourne received this already? it's been shipped on 24th and still no update :(

Friday's delivery arrived today, must have driven non stop from Perth to Sydney.

Quality is about what I'd expect for the money. Peels are handy but cheaply made and don't expect them to last.

Friday's dough was left to cold ferment in the fridge and pulled it out for pizza lunch. There's still some practice to be had but overall I'm happy with the unit.

Recommended preheat according to the manual is 10min which got my stone up to ~370°C (manufacturer claims 400°C) according to my cheapie IR thermometer. After an initial burn off it was time to give it a crack. Haven't made a pizza for years so there's some practice to be had but we were all happy with the result.

3 - 3.5min gave a decent result…first couple of crusts were a bit stiff for liking but they were about right by the end.

    First run
    First crust
    Pepperoni

This is much simpler that getting the BakerStone box out and preheated (45min) and produces similar results. Overall I'm happy and would recommend the unit.

    • Wow thanks for this review. Received the unit today and immediately made a dough. Will be cooking tonight.

    • at what temperature did you cook the pizza for 3.5 minutes?

      • +1

About 370 - 380⁰C. Preheated on setting 5 (max) for 10min and left it on 5 while I cooked 6 pizzas.

        • Thank you

  • Received mine today

  • Received mine yesterday. Tried today. Can anyone share on how to clean the stains? I can’t get them out,

    • It's normal to stain the ceramic. You can use something to softly scrape the bits off and also a wet paper towel to wipe it clean.

    • If you burn cheese or what not on there, clean the stuck bits off with a wire brush, wire wool or I use an attachment on my cordless drill lol
It will end up with black stains though, that's normal. No chance of keeping it white/cream/whatever

      • Also helps add to the charred flavor!

        • Yeah, it's like a BBQ, get better flavour as they go on

      • Thanks everyone. Guess have to learn to accept black and orange stains on the surface. Thank you once again.
