  • My a bad Price, but stil hoping these will come down to $100 mark.

    • +1

Same, I’m tempted to buy these but I just can’t justify the price.

      • They will eventually as they shouldn't be costing that much in the first place, but since it is apple, we will have to wait

      • I bought from eBay for $100 near the end of last year. These sound really nice. Then I bought another for $70 from eBay which was seller refurbished hoping to be the same quality as all eBay listings (sub $100 mark) claims to be authentic Apple. They work exactly like the one I bought for $100 BUT the sound quality was so disappointing! Lesson learned.

      • They’re great value for that price. I had mine for years now and the battery is still going strong. Their design is just perfect, sits well in the ear and results in a good mix between audio and ambient noise.

  • Are these Australian stock with ACL Warranty? Or grey market like kogan?

For the money I’d rather preorder these

    • Second that

I’d rather get galaxy buds pro than those, but neither are the same style as the apple airpods, so entirely irrelevant

You can’t compare an in ear plug with a normal one. Totally different products, some people (like me) can’t stand the in ear ones and find them very uncomfortable

  • Anyone know how to refurb AirPod batteries? Can we buy batteries somewhere and solder them ourselves?

    • +1

      Unfortunately not. It’s nearly impossible.

There is a single company in the US, https://www.thepodswap.com/ that can do it. But unfortunately it’s not available in Australia. PodSwap don’t even return your AirPods, they are more of an exchange service.

      • i got two airpods (wife and I) now not usable after just 2 yrs. :(
I hope podswap will be soon available in Australia.

    • You can! If you’re willing to do the surgery yourself, replacement batteries are approximately <$40 online.

Pretty involved process. Here’s how you can do it:

AirPods 3 are expected to be announced in September. AirPods 2 are currently on MacRumours, “Don’t Buy” list because of this.

That link has nothing concrete, and says it could be new pro or airpods. So literally means nothing.

      • Apple only makes announcements at their events so yes.. guessing.. but still a fair reason not to buy yet.

        • Apple rarely ever make huge jumps in features. And they will be far more expensive than this deal. Each to their own though

  • AirPods Pro come to $288 with shipping… not sure if I should get them, would they be any cheaper elsewhere or are they usually around the 280~ mark?

    • +1

Bought them for $250 during Prime Day last year. But that is an especially low price. I think I’ve only seen it that low twice. $300 seems to be basically the every day price now.

    • +1

Pros go on crazy sale around the $200 mark. But the usual sale is $249.

    • +1

For $8 more you could just buy local stock… or attempt a price beat at officeworks

      • Shopping express is local stock, isn't it?

  • +1

If you buy 2 Airpods Pro they come down to $236.80 each.

    • Yup. Code becomes FATHERSDAY20

    • OOS

  • Shipping is $9.95 to Sydney

  • Are these official AU stock ?

  • Cannot price match with Officeworks. On their website that clearly says no coupon or voucher codes.
