Bought one of these, worth noting that the seconds go up in intervals of 5s, and not by 1s if you require precision (i.e. can only be 25s or 30s, can't get 27s - using for coffee timer).

Otherwise, strong magnet, clear numbers, audible beep and easy to adjust.

Would these be useful to stick on the fridge to use as a kitchen timer? Is it quick and easy to get it to time something like 8 mins vs talking to my phone?

      • +8

if you got google home/alexa smart device, or even using the phone would be faster than dialing in 8 minutes on this because you can just use your voice command which is much faster and easier.
Those devices also can setup multiple timers etc..

These would be more useful for those people who don't have those devices…or not as tech savy or are not as good with the english language

        • yeah all my Google home is used for it asking an assistant to play music or set a timer, rarely use anything else as those two things it's so fast at!

        • +1

The main downside with Google Home devices being used for timers is that the timers are not synchronised. I have 5 Google Home devices in my house to provide full coverage. Whichever one hears you the loudest will be the one that the timer starts on. Starting a timer on the Lounge Room device then querying the kitchen bench device for the remaining time results in "there are no timers currently running"

          • @Jonzay: But these Baseus timer aren't synchronise either so no different..

yeah in regards to the google home devices that is a downside of not being synchronized..
which would be a cool feature that people have being requesting from google..

I can see it does have a downside if the timer goes off on all your google home devices at once
which can be annoying for other people in their own rooms that also have the google home that are sync..

Imagine someone was in their room, and a google timer set by someone in another room goes off every X minutes due to it synch..

And when all your google home devices goes off at once..
that noise would get annoying fast as well.

            • @pinkybrain: I don't need it to go off on any except the original one that accepted the timer, but I'd absolutely love to be able to check the remaining time and cancel/modify it from all of them.

    • Thanks, this info changed it for me. I was looking to stick one on the coffee machine.

  • Are these good for making an explosive device with a countdown timer?
    asking for a friend.

    • Your "friend" is taliban, ISIS or Al Qaeda or white supremist?

      • No they are Thales + BAE and trying to find spare parts.

Reported to the feds. Expect em to knock your door in 5 mins.

  • I can't get that price. Couldn't apply P12OFF and BASEUS12 together. But could apply BUY10OFF and BASEUS12 which gives me $13.53.

    • +1

      Voucher/coupon P12OFF
      Applied: AU $1.80

      Discount BASEUS12
      Applied: AU $2.05

    • +1

That suggests that you don't have ebay plus

BUY10OFF (for non-eBay Plus members) or P12OFF (for eBay Plus members)

      • I do. And I could apply P12OFF on its own, but not stacked with BASEUS12.

    • Oh … never mind … after ticking and unticking boxes … I managed to apply correct codes and get $13.53. Thanks.

    Product is redundant these days.

Hey google - set timer for XX
Hey Siri - set timer for XX

    • +2

not really, you can't see how much time you have left on google/siri without having to ask them constantly. I do use a combination of both google and physical timer, so i won't say they useless at all, they're just useful for different things.

      • +1

        fair point.
I do ask "how much time left on timer" but rarely, I just wait until it beeps.

      • +2

Unless you have a device that has a screen, such as Lenovo's line of Smart Display products

    • +1

usually I'd agree but this might be nice for pomodoros while studying.

      Ordered one, thanks OP

  • +3

I just use my phone. And it's free.

  • +1

you can buy watch with timer for $5 on aliexpress

    • +1

but you will get them after lockdown ends… not fun….

      • Bold of you to assume I don't live in Sydney

  • +1

    well why not.
monday early morning shopping is a good start for 5 more weeks lockdown.
    thanks GB

    • +1

Wow, can you set this timer for 5 weeks?

  • What a bloody unsustainable product. So many other existing products that provide same function.

  • +1

Yet another redundant gadget for my Eneloops

  • +4

Actually, I don't mind it. My son is autistic but high-functioning, aspergers on the old chart. Set this for 90 minutes and it's time to get off the xbox. Worth a shot, he can following along and when the timer goes they're the rules.

We have Google thing in the house, but this is just easier in the kitchen and with the idea you can dial to set it is probably pretty fast and easy. Bought one, let's see.

  • Upgraded to a mobile phone especially for this feature in 2002

Thanks been waiting for a deal on this. Got 2

  • +1

    Ahh just missed it

OOS. But very similar product in different listing works with both vouchers

    • +1

Vouchers don't work on that listing for me

  • From the listing:

Timely Prompt for Every Minute and Second…
Please note: This item can only be adjusted every 5 seconds, not 1 second.
