Heat at Home Restaurant Meals in Melbourne

It felt like this time last year, every restaurant had pivoted to delivering meals. But now I'm finding far fewer places that do it, Providoor seems to have less restaurants and is as expensive as anything, a lot of places I try to order they're sold out very quickly.

With Ubereats and the like going to crap in terms of delivery times and having drivers available, it'd be nice to have some good food I could just pop in the oven to heat up rather than order in or cook from scratch, but it seems the options are limited this time around. Anyone know of any good places to try doing restaurant quality, heat at home meals they can recommend?

  • You could cook whole batches of different things and just leave it in the freezer until you're ready to eat.

You could also just order direct through the restaurant instead of Uber Eats and pick it up yourself if within 5km

Meatmaiden are doing a meal for two for $150 delivered, I'm trying that this weekend as a treat. During last years lockdown we got Attica delivered, was delicious!

I think this is due to the lack of Jobkeeper.

    • That makes a whole lot of sense. I forgot one friend in hospo who last year went and took photos of every bottle of wine in the story and put it online to try sell them (they have a massive cellar) as they were paying her to work anyway. This year, no work at all.

Seems a lost opportunity with jobkeeper to at least keep me fed.

Didn't read the OP, did you?

  • Attica at home is good. San Telmo also has heat at home options.
