      Thanks OP,

Have been shopping around for this as I'm about to run out.

Probably go for the 4x 100g since that's the 20% off.
      2x 100g is 10%
      1x 100g is 6%

Really annoyed at the Pet Circle shenanigans as I was going to use the 30 off 60 spend on it.

      • Yep - I found 4 x 100g the best value. I'll add it to the post

Was tempted to stock up but worked out for my 24kg Husky 400g would last nearly a year. I also like to rotate with other joint supplements.

What happened with Pet Circle? I was able to use it to purchase some food - ToWT and ZiwiPeak.

        • RE: PetCircle

I had it in cart earlier in the day, but my wife wanted it some other stuff and would look at it at night.

Later on that evening, everything had been set to SOLD OUT (also noticed by other ozbargainers) and the voucher was expired early.
          Check the comments here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/646475

          • @redwiggle: That's unfortunate.

I had a similar experience with mypetwarehouse during their natural food range sale. They should save your spot for 24 hours or something.

In the spirit of OzBargain, i was looking for joint supplements for my dogs.

Figured the most cost effective way was to make it myself, given majority of the popular supplements provide the exact 'split' of ingredients. As well as dosing requirements based on KG.

For example, at the time i found the cheapest for green lipped mussel (main supplement in most) was 500G @ $66 from https://www.simplyequine.com.au/product/green-lipped-mussel-…

All you need is cooking scales, a tub, and some maths to proportion out the ingredients; i found you're looking at a ~50% markup for someone to mix it for you.

I followed a Blackmores PAW osteocare 'recipe'.

      • Occasionally I feed whole air-dried green-lipped mussels as a treat.

I have been considering DIY but wasn't sure how much he would require. How do you calculate how much to give?

          Use excel :)

For example the product linked here contains:

New Zealand Green Lipped Muscle 407.5 g/kg
          Abalone 135.9 g/kg
          Marine Cartilage 135.9 g/kg
          Epitalis 53.7 g/kg

It literally gives you a percentage split of each ingredient you can use.

          • @jonnoyeo: Where do you get Epitalis from though? I think that is the main 'thing' that sets it apart :)

Is this really 'half price', seems like normal pricing to me

    • I agree BPP standard pricing isn't great. However, with this sale, their prices are cheaper compared to normal pricing at other stores.

      For comparison,

      Pet Barn vs BPP
      Pink 2.5kg-4kg 3 Pack: $47.99 vs $38.96
      Yellow 4kg-5.5kg 3 Pack: $47.99 vs $41.66
      Orange 5.5kg-11kg 6 Pack: $89.99 vs $75.96
      Green 11-22kg 6 Pack: $95.99 vs $83.32
      Purple 22kg-45kg 6 Pack: $99.99 vs $88.30

      Pet Circlevs BPP
      Pink 2.5kg-4kg 3 Pack: $46.99 vs $38.96
      Yellow 4kg-5.5kg 3 Pack: $48.99 vs $41.66
      Orange 5.5kg-11kg 6 Pack: $90.99 vs $75.96
      Green 11-22kg 6 Pack: $96.99 vs $83.32
      Purple 22kg-45kg 6 Pack: $105.99 vs $88.30
