      Apologies, I've now updated this!

  • I have a little one on the way, and the wife and I decided on the Baby Bee Duo2.
Discussions on these prams suggest the Duo2 is the best, and it's reported to have the biggest seats/bassinet (atleast compared to this, the Duo2 and the Uppababy Vista2).

    Can you add anything Rep?

      Hi Charcoal,

      Congratulations on your little one!

Here at Redsbaby we want you to have the right pram for your family and if it's not us, that's ok! As we don't compare ourselves to other brands, if you wanted to let me know the features that you like in a pram, I can let you know if we have those features in our range.

      Wishing you all the best!

    • I got the duo2, its the best compared to every other dual pram holder in terms of pricing and quality, had $100 off during financial year which was a good deal

    • We went for the Metro 3 for our 3rd due in November. Previously we used a Redsbaby Bounce for our boys but lost the front bar. Ultimately the best thing to do is to try out the various prams yourself to understand ease of folding and unfolding, lifting into your car boot and generally operating. We decided on Redsbaby because the prams split into two pieces and both are lightweight which makes it easier to lift into a boot especially one with a lip or SUV. Bugaboo chameleon was super heavy and as a father even I thought it was heavy to lift let alone my wife who would have just given birth and recovering from that. Mountain buggy too was heavy and didn't split apart.

Also check Choice for reviews as that's a good source of information that is independent.

In reality your child will probably grow out of wanting to sit in a pram by around 2yrs so much before they physically can't fit in it. They'll be pretty happy in a shopping trolley where they can sit higher up and see the world. So worry less about maximum weight capacity unless both your wife and yourself are large and you expect a larger baby.

      • Seconded about the seat size. Its unlikely to be a big issue. FWIW I have a 2 year old and twin 7 month olds. The the 2 year old we used a Reds and it was fine, but we swapped to the Uppababy for the twins as the second seat configuration had better access to the storage bucket at the base of the pram for a tandem setup.

When we had the twins we could fit both in a single bassinet up until around the 3 month period where we transitioned away from it, so I doubt size should be an issue for too many people. They’re not massive but they were a fairly good size all in all. A single baby won’t be an issue.

I’d suggest getting compatible capsules and use those before transitioning to the seat. It makes life so much easier if you don’t have to pull the baby in and out of a car seat. There’s a good chance you’ll find your baby falls asleep while travelling too and it’s a god send to be able to move the capsule and leave it on the floor inside the house without waking the baby up.

  • Hi OP, I have one coming in a few months and looking for a pram that has large storage space and good on all terrains. Easy fold up would be nice too. What would you recommend?

    • Congratulations!

All of the Redsbaby prams have built in suspension, puncture proof wheels and a super easy fold but the JIVE³ fold is my personal favourite in terms of folding. It's hard to go past the METRO³ basket too though, it really comes down to what would suit your family, but if you head to our website we have a range of videos under our demos on demand page that run you through all of the features, we also offer a 30 day trial programme with free returns so it can be returned to us if it turns out to not be the right fit.

    • We have a Jive 2 that we've been using for almost 3 years now and if there's one part we're most impressed with it's how the wheels have held up. We've used it on gravel terrain near us fairly regularly and it still drives perfectly smooth. Currently using it for our second as our first doesn't seem to want to be confined.

Some small annoyances were the latches that you slide up to collapse the pram became a bit "sticky" over time and it makes it difficult to fold it up sometimes. It probably just needs some grease though. And also the little tab that holds the pram while its folded up got bent out of shape so it didn't "hook" on automatically when collapsing it. I've bent it back just a little and it seems to be fine now. Otherwise still fit for purpose after 3 years and no major qualms :)

  • We have one of these for our daughter and it's been a great pram, light weight, easy and quick to fold up and set up.

  • Rep, when is this deal on until. Apart from until stocks last. Grateful for a timeframe please. Thanks

It will be until the end of September or whilst stocks last, whichever happens first.
