Shipping eBay Parcel with Sendle for Free

So I am a little confused. I have sold a few items on eBay lately (lockdown spring cleaning)…

An offer came up with Free 1st Parcel via Sendle, so I took on the offer and shipped my parcel for free. However now all items I am selling on eBay are showing free shipping with Sendle?! "FREE SENDLE LABEL FOR EBAY PLUS MEMBERS"

So is this because I am an eBay plus member? I was not aware of this benefit if this is the case. Seems strange than eBay would be covering the cost of all my shipments.

I have been charging them all $14.50 for shipping and pocketing the money. Not that I am complaining, but I just can't find any info on this anywhere.

  • Is it a one off promotion or apply everytime?

    • The first one was a one off, it said “Ship your first parcel with Sendle for free”

But now I am on my third parcel for free, and it says “ Free Sendle label for EBay plus member”

      • +8

eBay giving postage discounts to sellers rather than buyers, that's unheard of!

  • I just saw a promo on my account, 1 free postage label per month on Plus… Yours sound far better though

    • Maybe it’s a glitch…I have been very lucky with website glitches over the years haha.

  • I have also been able to do three now.

  • haha confused here as well, just printed off 2 free labels. Thoroughly confused as this is the only place on the internet that's mentioning this.

If there was more information, like if it's permanent or how long it'd last, I'd very gladly make shipping free for the duration of the promotion.

  • +1

Managed to ship off 9 parcels this week thanks to the “Free Sendle label for eBay plus member” bug/promotion.

Several of the items were to regional areas where they incur additional surcharges from Sendle but these costs were also covered (eg. $17.65 total for a 500g satchel)

I normally use Sendle to ship off eBay items and just use the integration in Sendle to pull through the orders from eBay and process them through the Sendle dashboard. I've processed these recent orders through the eBay print label system but the orders also appear in my Sendle management dashboard and I can confirm no charges have been issued in either platform.

I've looked for further information on this promotion but I only came across this post.

Is this bug/promotion still happening for other users on here?

    • I think it’s definitely a bug. No way they would cover all shipping cost.

Wonder if someone will eventually realise their mistake and back charge everyone haha

      • Yeah that would suck. I too have been able to use it 10-20 times

  • I WOULD DETER ANYONE OR ANY BUSINESS FROM USING THIS SERVICE. Their so called - CUSTOMER SERVICE is practically non existent ……. I have been deterred, mislead, & deceived by this inferior company. I have tried to contact a manager several times to try & discuss about the discrepancy - but no manager has had the decency to reply back to me ……. my case has gone on for a nearly a month. Therefore, I am about to cancel my Sendle account.
How do these companies survive ??

  • Dec 2022 Sendle / Ebay first parcel - free - promotion - refund
From December 22, I have been continually in contact with several SENDLE Customer Service chat staff members - in reference to a $10.95 REFUND. The refund - which I am entitled to - was promised to me back in December when I first spoke to a SENDLE Customer Service person - but I still haven't received the refund. In the meantime, I have spoken to other SENDLE staff members - but I have been given continual & misleading excuses in relation to the issue … now Sendle are saying that it is up to EBAY to issue my refund. I have been in touch with EBAY & they have said that it is up to SENDLE to issue the refund.

Over the past 2 months, I have constantly tried every communication avenue to speak to Paul - The Sendle Customer Service Manager - but to no avail.
