Inflated menu prices and service fee = delivery fee built in

This is just no added menulog tax on top of order and delivery fee and with a minimum spend too l… Sad times

I remember when McDonald's used to delivery through menu log with no delivery fee, no service charge, and no minimum order.

And it will arrive cold about 45minutes later or more than when it was expected.

Another genius in Menulog saw the genius made a genius move at Ubereat to charge the genius “service fee” and thought…it’s genius!! No one will ever figure out what service fee is so let’s charge all those idiots more!!!!

No….unfortunately not this idiot here!! Deliveroo or DoorDash is my only go to delivery apps these days…….

  • No excuse for inflating the item fees and charging service fees. And also (normally) charging delivery on top of all that.

  • A service fee is basically a delivery fee…

  • The hidden service fee of 10% makes the already inflated prices even worse. I can't believe they offer a pick-up service. Why would you pay all those inflated prices, a service fee, and then drive/walk/cycle there anyway!

We switched to DooDash, who also have the sneaky service fee, but it's 2% - for the time being at least.

Apparently these outfits aren't making money, yet. Perhaps if they didn't make restaurants inflate prices, more people would use them. Also … dump the 'celebrity' endorsement ads!

    • who also have the sneaky service fee, but it's 2%

Yeah tbh it's not much (eg a $20 order is 40c) and for me at least, there's always 15%+ off offers which bring service + delivery fee down

  • Menulog has gone down the drain recently. Gone from $1.99 max delivery at any restaurant besides dinner peak (and a lot of free delivery places) to 10% service fee + higher delivery fees + higher minimum orders.
