Valencia Tuscany Cinema Seats Row of 2 - $4,999.99 (Was $9,999.99) Delivered @ Valencia Theatre Seating

1852

OK, so, I realise this is gonna cop a lot of "I bought 5 posts" and such haha

They're not for everyone but, for those that have previously looked at these but didn't get them due to international shipping, they've now launched in Australia. Before launching here, these were very expensive to ship in, a 4 seaters was around $15k landed in Aus.

Row One and Manhattan seats are around the same price $9000-$14,000 found locally in Australia and these are significantly better quality, much higher grade leather, better motors and a nicer chair overall. Shipping is also not long, 2 weeks! For a review, here's an Aussie who got some a while back

        • In all fairness it was hard reading your post. I think the value of punctuation should always be upheld, it makes reading easier.
I get you're upset with the criticism, but maybe it's not a bad thing to also see it from our perspective.
However, I agree with you on spending the money on this lounge. I would spend more on the 'theatre' aspect of audio visual.

@maverickjohn: I am glad you are sensible and see the reasoning behind my post.

if you notice this site does not have punctuation as a requirement to become a member. A comment on grammar or lack thereof is a personal comment. I do not make any personal comments nor do I condone it.

If there is a problem with my comments in terms of language report it. If you find it hard to read then well I cannot really be a help in that. Hopefully you and the everyone else who likes grammar can read this… what can I say if you cannot barring

I shall get there soon though not there yet so maybe give us a break. I have done one better than punctuation.. I have inserted paragraphs .. hopefully that comes through when I post this and it is easy to read.

@shaidas: Please don't take it the wrong way. I was merely just letting you know how it read.
I know it might sound offensive to criticise grammar, but honestly it's just a little heads up from me that it was a difficult read. I also don't care if grammar isn't perfect. But the sentences where so long it really makes you lose your train of thought.

    • If I have dedicated theatre room, I will surely use it often. But still this is lot of money just to spend on these chairs. If you have spare, go for it..

    • obviously this chair or deal isn't targeted at you or whoever that needs extra cash to spend on the equipment. It's aimed at those who have JVC DLA-Z1 or better in their system.

  • Any store, factory, warehouse recommendation in Sydney for quality furniture but less than Harvey Norman pricing?

  • money can't buy you taste

    • +3

You can't sit as comfortably on taste.

I always spend money on good quality products. But this is really expensive. I bought my chesterfield lounge with full calf grain leather in 2015 which includes a 3.5 seater, 2.5 seater and a wing chair for 9k. This is 2 seats for 5k… I get it's more functional than my chairs but it's also not a timeless look which will probably age poorly.
If I still have the same lounge for another 30 years it would still be relevant.

    • +1

      probably age poorly

      For starters, the USB ports

    • theres actuallly arent that expensive… youre comparing based on seating .. your lounge is not the same as a home theatre seating.

Much like the classic arguemnt of why pay x for a car when it all just some form of transport.

      • I completely get that. I just gave my perspective in regards to spending that much on furniture. For me it would be spend on something that holds its value and relevance for the longest period.
If this lounge suits their the family's/persons needs, then go ahead. Just consider how well the lounge ages.

I’m too poor to know if this is a good deal lol

  • +8

Upvotes say buy. Comments say don’t.

    • That translates to a buy with an immediate refund request.

    • +1

It's a good price, for a popular product for its target market, which has previously been hard to buy in Australia. A clear updoot from anyone interested.
However that market is pretty limited, and I can't see much of Ozb being the type to he browsing $15,000 chairs to go in the home theatre with their $30,000 projector. But there are some.

Elon writes back and he goes dallas boy tell me at the job interview tomorrow if you got them or not. And remember we ask the questions not you. Be prepared and on time. these chairs are ahit.

Canada is my memory serves. Isn't that obvious from their logo, brand name, and item names?

    • +1

      Don't act surprised… China.

      • Despite the names and the logo emblazoned all over the website to suggest otherwise.

I've been looking at these as I'd heard they might be coming to Australia. In the process of designing a home theatre for our renos but sadly can't take advantage of this on account of there not being a room to put them in for many months. Seems a great deal for those in the market.

These chairs are extremely popular with the North American home theatre scene. D

  • Does anyone think these 50% sales will be back any time soon, e.g. Black Friday or Boxing Day, or this is just a once off special offer?

    • I imagine likely. Their US/CA stores have probably 6 sales this year I've seen.

      • Thanks, do you know how big the sales were? Like 50% off or just 20%-30%?

  • Would be alright if it was a 7 seater lounge set

  • Waiting for the Aussie version. Kangaroo leather seats anyone?

  • Been waiting for this, thanks.

  • so ugly

  • Lock down is producing sass, and I love it.

Wow, these look amazing. Can we start a thread on 'Tasteless products to buy to furnish my new-build 6 bedroom McMansion'?

Seriously though… home theatre? Do people really do this? What's wrong with a couch and your tv? That you probably already have in another room? Money truly can't buy taste.

    • +2

sound leakage for one… harsh light for a second..
but anyway.. file this under thingsyouwontseevaluein

    • +1

nah bud a 130 inch screen beats a telly any day .. Nothing wrong with the couch and tv but a dedicated home theatre should be on your list .. it will rock your socks watching AFL or Kodi on a big screen with decent speakers.. can be had for cheap but you do need room

Its a chair man relax. go bang ur missus

      • She's refusing… something about me not being good enough and not having a home theatre?

  • has the commentary game improved?? I'm loving it!!

    • lockdown brings the best out

  • I can't understand why they're selling these at half price…surely they've been running out the door!

    • -2

They're extremely popular in the home theatre scene. Just because that isn't you, doesn't mean it's not an appealing product for its market.

  • +1

People actually pay 10 grand for this?

    Wow, just wow.

  • Wonder if these would fit through my apartment door lol

  • Just bought 15, cheers

    • +1

I was going to buy 30 but there was only 20 left.
      I blame you.

  • +3

I'm only commenting to follow this post, so I can come back to it in 20 years, when I'm hopefully filthy rich to be able to afford these. :)

    • Did you buy any Bitcoin? According to some, you might be back 20 years ago and find yourself poorer if you hadn't.

      • I missed the Bitcoin Bandwagon long time ago.

        • If your investment outlook is measured in terms of 20 years, then you hadn't missed the bandwagon in my opinion.

          • @enveloped: More like affordability outlook looking at the price of these….. and Bitcoin lol..

  • +1

    Oops sale extended another week

  • Wow, not the most attractive cinema seating I've seen but the quality and attention to detail appears to speak for itself..

  • I ordered a set and a day later another, and realised the order ID is only 1 number apart, meaning that they probably only sold 1 in one day. On one hand, it means you won't face a stock shortage and no need to hurry to buy; on the other hand, it may not as popular as the up-vote shows. This may be because the RRP is inflated. A set of Tuscany Loveseat sells $2599 USD according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e28Efs7tbA which is A$3562.65, the AU price, even after the 50% discount, is 37% higher than the U.S. price. It may still be the cheapest you can get in AU though, as OP said about the shipping cost.

    • Plus, the fact that the other options in AUS are as expensive or more so.

      4 Seater Row One Ambassador = $10k + $250 shipping
      4 Seater Manhattan New Yorker Plus = $11k + $300 shipping

Both can be had a little cheaper with haggling.

For this one though, add in the much nicer and higher grade leather, a better motor, powered lumbar support and reviews are better overall, its the better choice for the same price.

  • Just noticed there’s a whole bunch of other chair options at half price, including singles. Shame there’s not many colour options.

  • Under $13k for a 5 seater with some options is pretty sweet

  • This deal is actually still valid.

  • Still valid. Seems they just keep pushing back the 'sale' end date. Essentially normal price.
