[VIC] Need Advice for A Home Gym Mirror

Hi all, as title suggests I am looking for a bezzle-less mirror approximately 2 meters Long & Wide, or two mirrors 1 meter long that can be placed directly next to each other. They will be mounted on the wall in my garage which is plasterboard.

Naturally due to lockdown I would like them delivered, I have done some simple internet searching but can't find anything that suits my needs. EDIT: Budget TBD.

Alternatively if you have a solution that works for you but is completely different to what I have listed I would love to hear it!

Cheers :)

  • You want a 2mx2m mirror, delivered, for under $200?

A nicer way to phrase your rhetorical question would be: "I think your budget needs to be reconsidered" but nonetheless I will take the advice thank you!

The Nearly Invisible Interactive Home Gym | MIRROR

Has to be shipped over from the states, but works here flawlessly.

    • Wow only $2k, plus shipping, only 10 times ops budget.

      • Hey it just says budget tbd

        Thereโ€™s always Kmart or Bunnings

        • Ah, he had budget as $150-200, so I thought $2k was a bit out there ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was looking for a gym mirror but as I wanted to move it around sometimes I decided on a single semi-frameless Wardrobe mirror with wheels but no track, which I lean against the wall and move around as I please.

I paid $273 and requested a custrom 1.2m x 2.4m mirror. I did shop around a little bit and noticed some places wanted $450 for a similar size so it pays to look around.

Delivery was $80 but if you have a van you can DIY.

Thanks mate, might consider the wheeled option

I just waited for a free pair of sliding robe mirrored doors. Not pretty, but functional (only room for one, so one in front of the other for now)
      .

  • Have you tried your local glaziers?

    • And today I learnt a new word! I will have a look, thank you

We replaced a mirror that was mounted on the back of a door just before lockdown. I obtained a couple of quotes locally & went with the cheapest as the glazier had an off-cut that was a few mm wider than the original mirror but still fit. Plus was that they delivered.

We looked around but they weren't cheap, so we got a few of these ikea panels. If you hang them horizontally you can stack 4 on top of each other for a cheap and nasty-ish solution. You do notice the lines at the start but if you mount the mirrors carefully, you can eliminate the gap to the point no one at home really notices it any more.

  • Look for people giving away the mirror wardrobe doors from renos, and borrow a van or hire one and then strip the mirror from it and it'll be under 100.

  • Facebook marketplace. I got a quote from a (professional) bloke for 1800 x 1200 for $180 collected or $300 delivered & installed. He's in the glen waverley area but you'll find a few people if you search for home gym mirror.
