Cannot Cancel Order from Kogan

3 days ago, I ordered a Kogan mouse with the Kogan first trial. Then I found I didn't use the credits and as I just wanted to get rid of the gift card, I placed a new order paid by my credits. Then I tried to cancel the first order about 10 mins later but no one replied to my cancellation request and now that cancelled order has been shipped! Tried to reach out to them via phone but Kogan.com has no functioning CS number, I even called Kogan mobile to complain about this and ask for Kogan number but there's absolutely no solution.

This is my first time (maybe also the last) buying from Kogan. Anyone please give me advice on this? Thanks in advance!

…but no one replied to my cancellation request and now that cancelled order has been shipped!

Fixed it for you. As harsh as it might sound, you have a responsibility to double-check your order before you click to confirm.

Ordering anything from Kogan is a mistake in itself. Your second mistake is expecting Kogan's non-existent customer service to help you.

      Damn, i read it Boobified.

You also made a mistake expecting a refund for change of mind. (especially from Kogans)

Kogan Mobile is actually Vodafone. After you received both items, try to tell Kogan you accidentally ordered 2 items and hope they will take 1 back. :(

  • +3

This is part of the Kogan experience. Your best bet? Pay for shipping and return the item if they allow returns. If not, you have two mouses.

Thanks guys, I should have sold the Kogan gift card for the peace of mind and detached any relation with them. Guess now I have no choice but waiting for their emails.
Just wonder if anyone has reported bogus Kogan to ACCC?

      …reported bogus Kogan to ACCC

I am in no way defending Kogan, but retailers are entitled to refuse a refund for "change of mind". Therefore, it is important to check before confirming your order.

I think OP is looking for someone to justify his stupidity, ain't nothing going to get through that wall.

I know I made mistake from beginning but the bogus part here is the non-existent customer service, I would accept if they at least let me know they cannot cancel it for some reasons but no reply after days.

If I cannot absolutely make a mistake then what is the point of the cancel button?

@Newgod: You get what you pay form unfortunately. Buy from JB or Officeworks next time, I'm sure you'll find their customer service might be worth an extra few dollars…

          • +2

@Newgod: The problem is that many large retailers have established customer service protocols that go above and beyond consumer protection requirements. This creates a new level of expectation and security in having your mistakes fixed.

Kogan goes steadily against the grain here and does the absolute minimum required, leading to believe you have been wronged.

@poboy: Thanks mate, your points make sense! I might have taken the premium customer service for granted. I'll be extremely careful with ordering from now on.

Just wonder if anyone has reported bogus Kogan to ACCC?

For what? Fulfilling both of the orders that you made?

      You: Kogan ripped me off!
      ACCC: What happened.
You: I placed two orders and they delivered them both!

    reported bogus Kogan to ACCC

    For what?

Kogan has been reported, and fined hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past, but not (yet) because a buyer has made a mistake.

Next time try their help centre. https://help.kogan.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010628254-Can-I-…

    Very clear.

I placed a new order paid by my credits. Then I tried to cancel the first order

Next time, do it the sensible way. Cancel the order first and then buy it again.

Thanks but the tutorial on Kogan is misleading, there is no direct process as shown by them. There is no "Cancel" button but only refer to Cancel my order form in "Contact Us" and then wait for CS to reply. It means we have no way to cancel the order without a CS agent processing the request manually.

      • Strange, my orders have cancel buttons. But they don't hang around forever.

        • Thanks mate, maybe they changed something with the website recently. Both my orders do not have it even right after placing order.

Kogan First was a big clue,
    Customer last.

  • I have a issue also. I purchased a Drone. Still waiting for shipment. I got an e-mail or saying it has been delayed until Dec 1. In the email it says if I'm not happy with that shipment date I can cancel. But no option to cancel under my orders section .

    • Yeah, no more cancel option as they claimed, you need to request cancel via customer service contact form under the order.

  • On 25/5/23 I also purchase a watch from Kogan. 5 minutes after payment for it I tried to find the cancel button. I couldn't find it. So I emailed Kogan on the same time. It has been 3 days, I haven't recieved a response about my wish to cancel my order. I did look at their term and condition on the 25/5/23 before I purchased the watch and they said that an order cancel button will be available for a short time. However, even after 5 minutes I didn't see the cancel button. If Kogan does not have that option any longer they shouldn't put this in there terms and conditions. It is misleading. I would like to point out to anyone who expects to find the cancel button on the Kogan purchases to be aware, you cannot cancel your order that way. If Kogan is not resolving this issue, I will be looking at disputing it through Paypal. I pay all my purchases through PayPal as they are very helpful. They will guarantee to resolve this and refund my money. Very happy with Paypal.
