Bose Bass Module 700 Issue (CLICK Sound While Powering off)

Hi all,

I've recently bought module 700 and connected to my existing sound bar via Bluetooth and it works perfectly.
But there is one time sound ( kind of CLICK) coming from module only when it is turned off at power source. It happens every time it is turned OFF.

I thought something wrong and asked seller for replacement. They replaced it with brand new. Now even the new one is giving same sound.

Can anyone have this module and please check ?

Attached recording of that sound. If you observe carefully, there are 2 noises. The first little bit louder one is the sound of Power Point Switch. Second sound is actually the issue coming from module.

  • Is the soundbar still switched on and connected to the sub when you mains power down the sub?

connected to my existing sound bar via Bluetooth

    Bluetooth or wifi?

    • Nope, I'm using an extension cable and connected Soundbar and module. So both are controlled with single switch.
Do you think by separating them, any use?
Sorry don't know whether it is bluetooth or wifi :). But I just connected module to bar with Bose App. No physical wire between bar and module.

      • Scrap the extension lead and power the soundbar and sub separately at the wall socket.

        Try that and report back.

Also, try turning down the sub volume completely in the app prior to switching off at the wall if issue continues after above suggestion.

Not a Bose fan but pretty sure it's a wifi connection between soundbar and sub.

        • I've removed extension and used wall point. Also reduced bass volume to "-100". No change, still same issue.

  • It's wireless. You're not supposed to turn it on and off.

It uses 0.6w in standby mode.

    • Yes could be. I just want to find, is there anything wrong with product. Have already replaced first one. Not sure what to do now.

      • It’s normal behaviour.
