Laptop for General Use - Budget $500

Hello everyone,

I am looking to get a laptop for basic usage, browsing, YouTube, Zoom meeting and a bit of home schooling. I have searched past deals posted here, I only found around $1000.
I am thinking to get from Dell Outlet Inspiron 15 - 3505 Laptop, I appreciate your opinions please.

    Mine is working alright. Thinkpad L15 from Shopping Square (I think Ryzen 7 Pro).
    The $500 laptop -> a parent in my school group asking me for help

  This one here?

  • AMD Athlon Silver 3050U
  • 8GB RAM
  • 256GB SSD
  • 15.6" 1366x768

  It can absolutely do browsing, YouTube, Zoom, etc. It has poor screen resolution, but if you don't need to move around much, you can always just plug in a higher res external monitor later.

      Latitude is Dell's business line and the build quality would be better. However it's a slower machine with older processor and less storage. Smaller 13" screen with the same crappy resolution. At that price point, I won't bother.

      The $499 Inspiron would be a better buy IMHO.
