Any Reviews about Alienware Monitors (AW3821DW)

After research and thinking, I have decided to go with 1 ultrawide monitors instead of 2 monitors. Any experience with this specific model or similar?
I do play games sometimes, but mainly want the monitor for my programming (coding) work.

You can also suggest any alternative, if you have practical exp with programming on the model.

Thanks in advance! :)

Update : Ordered it! :) will provide update on my expensive experience with this monitor! :)

    I have the non-gaming version… U3818DW which has usb c, with 100W PD, I love it

    • usb c would have been super… but can't help it. gaming version will give me more response time; also with this special deal, the pricing is not much diff so looks like I will still stick to gaming version.

thanks for your response. it helped me and brought me closer to buy this.

Won't get better for the money when they are on special.

    • pricing looks decent for this kinda specs. the special deal only brought me closure to this monitor, else would have gave it a miss.

thanks for your response. it helped me and brought me closer to buy this.

Using it right now for coding and it been pretty good. You'll need to use something like PowerToys to manage your window layouts because the Dell Display Manager doesn't work on their Alienware products.

    • thanks buddy. I do use PowerToys (not to great extent but can start using more now).
Any issues you faced that I should consider? Pricing looks decent to you or any better deals in past?
did you explored any other model along with this?

thanks for your response. it helped me and brought me closer to buy this.

It was this or the LG 38GN950 but they're actually the same panel so it's hard to justify.

The Alienware goes on sale often so hold out if you can. A good price is under $1500.

Upgraded to this from an the classic ASUS 34" 100hz monitor. No regrets. I much prefer the aspect ratio too. Everything about it is good. Awesome for gaming, probably not the best value for coding though.

  • Superb Monitor for gaming 1440hz 1ms IPS 3840x1600 rez GSync Ultimate — this thing rocks and I love it. Too bad the wife own's it and not me. Needs a 3080 to drive it at native rez… gets 100fps+ in New World

  • Hoping to buy one of these - seem to go on sale every month or two - looking out for the next one.
