Freight cost makes it more expensive doesn't it? Plus three weeks shipping.

      • Three weeks shipping yes, but free delivery with Prime if you're a member.
        Hence didn't down vote.

and I thought the Wilson ball I just bought for $39.99 inc shipping was expensive. Wish I saw this ad sooner then I wouldn't have hesitated for so long on the Wilson :D

For anyone wondering about where this sits in the product line, I believe it is the highest range of the composite indoor balls (one below the leather ball) and is equivalent to the GGx of old. Though I'm not sure what improvement the BG4500 has over the GGx?

    • thanks mate was just wondering that - i still use the GF7 and it seems this is a good opportunity to finally upgrade

      • I wouldn't call this an upgrade. The feel and texture is different. If you are used to GF7 this would feel weird.

    • We have both GF and GG. GG has better overall feel and bounce to it, feels more controllable and variable when pound dribbling. I believe the GG has an extra lining on the inside, over the GF.

Don't have the BG4500 so can't compare to the GG unfortunately.

Isn't this a bit much for a basketball? Spalding basketballs go for ~$30 or so.

There are different models for different surfaces/uses. Spalding also have $100 balls. A bit of education rather than a neg can help people out sometimes, especially in these difficult times we're in atm.

  • Why is BG4500 feel smaller than other size 7 basketball. Feels like 1/2 size smaller.

    • GM7s (one down on the GF7) were known to be not true to size. If you lined them up against a wall you can see a GM7 is clearly not regulation size 7.

Not sure about the BG4500 though, never owned one yet!

      • i bought a BG4500 and it feels smaller than my GF7X, i should of measured it before returning it to amazon.
