Custom Navigation Bar for Samsung Galaxy S21

Just got the telstra s21. In old times on LG you could have up to 5 buttons on Navigation Bar
The best was a button that pulls down the notifications, as my thumb isn't that long.

On play store there are just some programs that put overlays, or things that don't work with new android vers.

Nova launcher you can add a swipe gesture for anywhere on the screen where you swipe down and it'll expand the notifications.
    - might also be available in stock too.

Goodlock -> Download Nav Star module and you can customise it.

    • Good lock works well 2. I wonder why it's not part of the default system.

    • +1 for Nova Launcher, a really good clean one that I install onto most of my Android devices. It doesn't eat much/if any battery at all, which is also good. Recently had a big update too which added some new features. Highly reccomend it.

      • Love nova but lost quite a few custom settings with the new update. Dang son!

  • Not sure about the S21 but on my old S9 and my Z Flip, I can swipe the top navigation bar down using the fingerprint sensor. Would hope/think they retained that because otherwise that'd be really annoying.

    • The fingerprint sensor in S21 is now in-screen (behind the OLED display) so fingerprint scanner gestures are no longer possible.

  • the only thing i can think of in terms of swiping down the notification bar is in home screen settings -> swipe down for notification panel. when on your homescreen you can swipe down anywhere on the screen and bring down the notification panel

  • There is a setting you can enable in the s21, where if you swipe down in the middle of the home screen, it will bring down the notification bar

  • I have agenda and weather widgets on the home screen. So they scroll down when I try to swipe down
