Bunnings Cancelled My Order for Knife and Blades

Bunnings store nearest to me cancelled my online order (pick up at store) of Stanley utility knife and set of cutting blades, no explanation. I had furniture delivered and need to chop off the cardboard boxes to dispose them in recycling bin.

I am just thinking is this because Bunnings think I am at risk of self harm or something like that due to Lockdown related mental health issues. Surely they haven’t run out these in the store.

Anyone working at Bunnings can explain this.

Talk about Olympic gold medal jumping to conclusion…

Interesting that when asked to provide feedback, unless it is complimentary, Bunnings refuses to print it……funny that.

What's with all these asinine questions on here lately?

  • I would imagine only the person that cancelled it can explain. Not even someone else who works at a different store would be able to tell you… As this is a relatively big issue for you (as you've not asked for advice on other important issues since April), the logical next step would be to contact the store because I doubt that person would be on ozbargain and even if they were, I'd doubt they'd answer this post.

    • Just missing a shovel.

    • Also: Missing

      1x Mineral Turpentine.

Drink a bottle and die within 24 hours.

  • Running a profile check. Statistically those with a knife are more likely to have the weapon used upon them. Never take knife to a gun fight.

  • Instead of ordering online and pick up in store, go to the store when you were intending to pick up, take one off the shelves and pay for it.

    • You can't, in Sydney.

They won't let you in the store.

It's Click and Collect only in all Sydney stores.

      Same with Oficeworks.

      So stupid, I know!

You can now go into Bunnings in Sydney stores* as of Thursday 9th. Open again to public. Not just trade allowed in again with store limits and appropriate safety restrictions…masks etc etc..

(*Not sure about the Super tight locked down LGA’s like Bayside or Burwood for eg though)

Was in their yesterday. No probs buying stuff

I claim no negative energy from this post

  • Same with Paint. We tried to order some and the order got cancelled. Apparently it was on a "restricted list" imposed by the NSW Government.

  • Any person can create an account for Bunnings and that could probably be minors too. I can only guess items that can be used for robberies or getting high would need to buy in-store

  • Try ordering a garden hose and a garage remote control and see if they cancel.

    • In which movie a victim was cut into halves by garage door? Scream? Final Destination?
