    For what it's worth, my HTC wall charger is rated for 1 amp, so this should suffice for most or all Android phones.

  Has anyone tried this? Does it actually charge?

  My current car iphone/ipad charger does not seem to actually charge, it just stops the charge level dropping.

  I'd like one that actually charged.

        I know but it does the job for me and it works like a charm, it charges two devices at the same time and I tested it and it actually does produce more than 2A, enough juice to charge iphone + ipad or iphone + smart phone, iphone +pda, iphone + GPS

      Thanks so much Sydster, I ordered your one. Being able to charge two devices at time sounds brilliant. Delivery time seems about a month (LOL) but not worried as I've put up with this terrible one for four years or so, so another month wont hurt.

  Some you can get it for $5.99, if you are not fussed with OEM models no branders (which I'm not) you can get this product for a LOT cheaper!

  i have one of these, and it came with a much longer usb cable than that shown in the picture. are you sure this is genuine? does it come in retail packaging?

    I'm sure 'micro USB car charger' means 'USB car charger which is very small', rather than a charger using a micro USB port. But yes, a little misleading.

    Otherwise, this deal is a bit ho hum for me - sure, it's competitive with others on ebay, but certainly not the cheapest of its kind. It may be claimed to be genuine, but we have no more reason to believe this one is genuine than this other one from China for $5.99 shipped: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Belkin-USB-Car-Charger-US…

    It may be cheaper than this one by a whopping 24 cents, but that's still not a good enough reason for this ebay seller to continue to spam OzBargain with what seems like every item in their inventory.

  i bought one a few months back just before christmas.. and it does charge the ipad just fine.. if anything I did a 5 hour drive with the ipad playing music and it ended up still having 100% =)

  I bought a cheap one before from ebay, and one day I connected it to my iPhone and start the car, BOOMM the display gone.. I had to change the display, so will never use a cheap one again..be careful

  Ordered the AUX version and it still hasn't arrived - this deal is located in Sydney and so am I. Wouldn't normally complain but thought for sure I'd have it for the weekend and now that looks unlikely.
