FYI:

Carl's Jr is new to Australia but has been around a long time!
The 'founded' timeline: McDonald's on May 15, 1940, Carl’s Jr on July 17, 1941 (1946 introduced burgers) and then, July 23, 1953 Burger King (our HJ’s).

Carl's Jr burgers are 'chargrilled', unlike HJ's 'flamegrilled'.
The burgers are BETTER at Carl's. Try the Angus burger range and taste for yourself.
I DO NOT WORK OR AM ASSOCIATED IN ANYWAY to Carl's Jr. other than being a fan and addict. :-)

I've heard these are awful from previous posts…

      They lied.

Yeah, these are terrible. Basically more expensive Hungry Jacks.

Haven't had this burger, but the Original Angus is amazing

My 8 year old just asked for one as her special lockdown birthday dinner

Are you in VIC? We are almost up to 300 special lockdown dinners…

        • +1

Yep… We were doing more ordering food last year and we all stacked on weight… So made a change this year to cook more at home

But yeah… when they are all special lockdown dinners… none of them are

It just looks like a Big Mac, except it's more expensive and there are no stores anywhere near civilization in NSW

      wetherill park?

      • Yes that's what I mean. One store for all of greater Sydney.

        did he stutter?

i live near wetherill park lol

  • Oh and no pickles or finely diced onion. That's the deal breaker for me.

Burgers are always cold when I have it.
Too much time spent wrapping the birder nicely.

Customer service 3/3 times absolutely woeful at Wetherill park.

    Don’t think I’m going back

    From their website:

In July 1941, Carl Karcher and his wife, Margaret, began with a hot dog cart and a dream. By 1956, the hot dog cart had become Carl’s Jr.®.

Sounds like just another burger clone.

    • not sure how that's supposed to be a criticism

      • If there has to be an irrelevant time line, it might as well be accurate.

  • Post says big combo but fine print below says small combo only?

    • title just says big carl combo not big big carl combo.

    • So a small combo is $14.95, what a rip off!

  • These are the most overpriced, overhyped burgers that will be sure to disappoint.
