Unlock speed limit of Fiido D12 bought from JB HIFI? any idea? 6km on the throttle is so slow if I just want to use it on farm.

      Thats a bit harsh.

Googling Unlock speed limit of Fiido D12 only got me About 18,000 results

press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A start

    • 30 lives for ya

Actually, isn't it only one B A and then start (not two B A)?

Ludicrous Mode unlocked. Battery will last for 10 seconds, goodbye.

    • nice try, hahahha

  • How fast could it go?

    • +12

      6.1 km/h

E-bike manufacturers hate this one simple trick

    Just pedal faster.

    Find a steep hill?

  • Actually 6km/hr sounds like the "walk assist" mode that plenty of ebikes have. You do know that you are meant to pedal right?

  • pure throttle 6km, pedal-assist 25km/hr.
    I want pure throttle 25km/hr.

tested a few tips online, none of them worked.

    1-Power of display controller
2-Push and keep 1 brake + throttle + power button
3-Wait power on , you must see a code flashing, wait 5 seconds then release all
4-Power off display and power on again

    • I want pure throttle 25km/hr.

Just be mindful that will make it illegal in most states… Cruising along at that speed and not peddling makes it obvious your bike isn't compliant so it's worth doing some ghost peddling…

The main issue is if you clip a pedestrian, the shit will hit the fan…

      • yes, JB told me it is illegal to ride outside private land. 6km is the cut-off.

i noticed the food delivery people are all using them full throttle though. How are they not caught !? it is honestly really obvious.

        • It depends on the state but I think the throttle is classed as a "walk mode", most better bikes have a button for it, it's meant to be limited to 6kmh in some states, 10kmh in others I think… and peddle assist has to cut out at 25kmh, very similar to the laws in Europe…

It seems rare for the cops to nail people but it's worth making an effort to be compliant, or at least appear compliant… As I said the main issue is if you hit someone you could end up with a bunch of charges, and be liable for the persons medical expenses or more, even if it was their fault…

I've been unplugging my throttle when I'm in public but the number of people I see on non-compliant vehicles I really dont think the cops down here care… Here in Tassie scooters and other powered non-peddle vehicles are limited to 10kmh, yesterday I passed an old lady 60+yo on one of those single wheeled unicycle things hooning along a bike path at 25kmh, amusing to see, I was near the end of a 70km ride and it just about killed me getting up enough speed to get past her, lol, (I generally pedal at around 27kmh on the flat, just past where the assist cuts out)… , and last week I saw a high end scooter and the rider was wearing full motorcycle gear, full face helmet and all, doing well over 25kmh down the cycle path, it makes me feel I'm worrying about nothing, lol, these people obviously do this regularly without issues…

        • I've not seen food delivery people going at those speeds without pedalling. Almost all the hardware to unlock the speeds unlocks the max pedal assisted speed, NOT the max walk assist speed. Also, using a ebike at 25km/hr without ANY pedal assistance will likely kill your battery in under an hour.

If a Bugatti is anything to go by, you’ll need to find a speed key

  • Questions like this are what keep me in in employment. Thanks mate, taking one for the team!

    • are you the cop !? just to be clear, I'm only going to use this bicycle on the farm.

      • I work in emergency departments and consider myself the person who says "this won't hurt a bit" before pulling your broken limb straight. The number of times I have had to land into a paddock with the local rescue helicopter to fish farm accidents out to the local trauma center has showed me that you are the exact type of person that keeps me in the job. Thanks!

        • au contraire, the biggest injury I have ever received was an abrasion on my knee or stepping on a nail during construction time. Salute your job, but I do hope I never need to see you ever. =D

Whoever took that "Find a steep hill?" suggestion earlier, might find themselves in your hands one day.
