Just announced for the 1st time ever in the Halo series multiplayer will be free on Halo Infinite. This is the 1st time multiplayer Halo will be free usually you need to pay full price for a halo game to get multi-player.
Update 16/11/2021: Early Access "Beta" now available. Game progress will carry over to the release game.

So does this mean that Halo is going to be a load of micro transaction bollox just like everything else nowadays?
I think it already was a bit. I remember something called REQ packs, dont remember what they did though.
At least now you dont have to pay for the privilege to play their skinnerbox brain melting money sink.

Infinite had a special 'announcement' that the multiplayer is releasing early into beta and will be free as previously announced.
In honor of Halo's 20th anniversary, your Spartan journey officially begins today. Dive into Season 1 of #HaloInfinite, in the multiplayer beta starting today on Xbox and PC!
Season 1: Heroes of Reach officially begins today. All of your Battle Pass progression, Spartan customization, and shop purchases will carry over from the beta to the full release of #HaloInfinite
For clarification:
This early launch is referred to as a 'beta'. Why? I'm not sure. But it is really just the full release multiplayer, and will be virtually the same as the game once it launches December 9. They are interchangeable, and are both always going to be free to keep, and IIRC you do not need Xbox Live Gold to play the multiplayer online on console.
Cross play and cross progression is also possible between all platforms.
People are posting deals for everything that turns up on Disney+ and those aren't even time sensitive.
This is being posted because the original release was december 8th.

The "in stock" gpu deals are far worse. As they help keep gpu prices up, but those are still allowed.

That's highly unlikely. The Xbox’s are sold out regularly. Microsoft doesn't need to discount them just yet.
Plenty of series s stock, but I doubt they'll discount them anytime soon either
And now that Sony has halted playstation production, likely you'll have even more demand on the Xbox (from the non-enthusiasts who are sick of waiting)…

A large parcel of land in a sought-after Sydney suburb is scheduled to go on sale after being stuck in a bureaucratic logjam for nearly two decades. The Department of Defence will put its old army base in Haberfield on sale by early next year, freeing up 19,000 square metres just 7 kilometres west of the CBD. Halo Infinite Multiplayer is Free to Play, no need to buy anything at all for the multiplayer experience :)
The campaign coming out on the 8th however, you would need to buy.

For someone who never played Halo, what would be a good game to start with in the halo series? I'm more interested in campaign than multiplayer. And I have gamepass
Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
You can play through the whole series that way and then jump onto 5 and then Infinite.
For campaign you may as well go from the original. Grabbing the master chief collection is the way to go if you don't have game pass. Think from 5 they started moving off to a new story line and 1 2 and 3 are considered the main story
