    Ok, so will this work if I simply need more USB ports and an SD card reader for my work computer? It currently only has 2 USB ports and no SD reader.

    I don't think it has a USB C port so I'd need a standard USB connector. Cheers.

    Those ratings and reviews are poor: an average rating of 3.8, with 17% of ratings being one star (most of which report dead or faulty ports).

    It is definitely the case that some of the USB-C hubs you see on Amazon are better than others. These look to be in the lowest quality category. Better to pay a bit more to get something that is less likely to have to be replaced in a few weeks or months.

    This arrived today and appears to work as expected! Hooked a chromebook up to a monitor, charger and usb keyboard and mouse with no issues!
