As of the new T&Cs from Asurion, if the device is not returned an admin cost is charged ($60) + the trade in cost.
I am currently trading in a S10 128gb ($90) which I think is way too less and could get a higher price elsewhere.
I have also heard about the ineligible device trick but did anyone actually try it yet?
Also are their any consequences to not returning the device?

So OP wants to get the $500 trade in bonus
Yet not trade in their phone and keep the trade in bonus?
From previous threads, I think OP is asking whether the Trade in Bonus ($500) will be charged if he doesn't return his eligible device in. From the last big Trade in program run by Samsung, a lot of people didn't bother sending in their devices and got charged the Admin fee and their device trade in value (which wasn't much) but they got to keep their Trade in Bonus value. I'm sure that Samsung doesn't really care about that as it is run by Asuron but they may have updated their T&C's to cover this, but hard to say unless you give it a go I suppose.

not sure about the latest trade-in deals/offers T&Cs but I got a new Samsung S21 Ultra back from May and i only got charged the trade-in value of my Note 8 which was $95.
