Original Coupon Deal

My first post so be gentle :)

I'm in the process of building my gaming/content creation PC and been looking RAM suitable for my needs. Came across this deal on as part of eBay's 22% off Spring Sale, may not be as cheap as it was a few months ago, but for 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz DDR4 CL16 Desktop Memory Kit, it is not too bad.

Could have sworn only months ago 32GB came down to around $200-250?

          • @m0usju1c3: I would build another desktop if it comes down to $200!!!!! Lol

          • @m0usju1c3: They were, I sent a set back faulty and they didn't give me a replacement only a refund. Not buying from them again. Paid $259 same exact set as this.

          • @m0usju1c3: I got one for $179 from last Tuesday deals, but it was 3200 MHz CL16 Aegis though
what is the actual different between aegis , trident z and ripjaws ?

            • +1

@bazingaa: Ram timing. Your aegis is most likely 16-18-18-38 which has looser timing than trident 3200hz which has 16-16-16-36.

But this trident neo 3600hz have 16-19-19-39 which means this is C-die.

              • @Letrico: thanks for the explanation. I got the most cost effective 32 GB one (missed some vouchers, if not I could have got it for $139 :/).

                it has ,

                CAS Latency Time (tAA): 16T
                RAS# to CAS# Delay Time (tRCD): 18T
Row Precharge Delay Time (tRP): 18T
Active to Precharge Delay Time (tRAS): 38T

does it has B-die or C-die? I got below from Thaipoon Burner.

                Module Manufacturer: G.Skill
                Module Part Number: F4-3200C16-16GIS
                Module Series: Aegis
                DRAM Manufacturer: Samsung
                DRAM Components: K4A8G085W[B/C]-BCPB

@bazingaa: The one you have is not B-die, most likely samsung C-die. Usually B-die have very good timings but very costly around $400-500 for 32GB.

                  • @Letrico: thanks mate! I was wondering the same although it says [B/C] :D

@m0usju1c3: Keep in mind this is CL16 and not CL18 which has gone for $200-250

@fAffY: this shit also overclocks like mad for people that're into that too

Is there any difference to this Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 32GB apart from the speed? TIA

    • G skill looks better but software, Corsair iCUE is still better than crappy GSkill RGB software.
      (I'm using G Skill Royal)

    • G.skill 3600 Mhz
      Corsair 3200Mhz

Trident is the reference line of g.skill. They are using premium samsung or hynix ram(a~c die) for these(for overclockers).

F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC (this) is Hynix C-Die (16-19-19-39). I got it on ebay plus sale a year ago for $256 delivered from ShopEx so yes its been cheaper but probably not recently.

      F4-3600C16D-32GTZN is Samsung B-Die (16-16-16-36) but it's 1.5-2x the price

My mild overclocking tests went so successfully I was too concerned to push harder in case I didn't know what I was doing. Reviews are pretty strong even with this die. IIRC seen 3800mHz at 15CL with this but I didn't try it.

      • Normally, samsung C >> hynix A die
I don't know why it's really hard to find samsung ram in here(au)
single 16gb is A$80~90 in Korea
if you don't consider any overclocking, even ugly green but cheap pcbs makes system more stable.

  • Note that this is not b die even though its 3600/16. Only the one with 16 secondary timings is b die

  • You can grab this for slightly cheaper if you're ok with purchasing from Amazon US - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083VNMP87

  • Or you could get the Crucial Ballistix 3600 CL16 for $283

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083TRXZ9N/

  • How far can you push the clock speeds?

    • ~3,733-3,800mhz

  • i just grabbed the kingston fury renegade for $269, 32gb 3600 cl16 but timings are 16-20-20-39, so slightly slower, will have to see if i can tighten the timings up when they arrive lol

  • how about team t force ,they are also very popular
