Footlocker e-gift card refunds?

Seems all of their contacts are busy and cannot take calls or emails. I am wondering if I want to make purchases using an eGift card, and need to make some refunds how will it be processed? Will the credit go towards my gift card or can I have the option to have it go towards a debit card?

  • refunds are usually back to the source of payment (if not easy for fraud or money laundering)

    • Even if it is an eGift card??

      • +1

Yep, they’ll probably just issue a new eGift card with the refund amount. A retailer typically will not give you a choice in how to receive a refund.

I have never purchased an item from Footlocker before, so I have no idea what they would do in this scenario!

        • Farrrrrr

    • Not probably - legally - refunds must go back to the source of the payment.

Replaced products must be of an identical type to the product originally supplied. Refunds should be the same amount you have already paid, provided in the same form as your original payment.

The business may take into account how much time has passed since you bought the product considering the following factors:

      type of product
how a consumer is likely to use the product
the length of time for which it is reasonable for the product to be used
the amount of use it could reasonably be expected to tolerate before the failure becomes noticeable.
For a major problem with services you can cancel the contract and obtain a refund or seek compensation for the drop in value of your services provided compared to the price paid.

  • Hi,

    Look at:
    https://help.footlocker.com.au/hc/en-gb/articles/36001349389…

"The refund for items returned in store will be credited via the original payment method, provided you've supplied your Tax Invoice and meet the return conditions."

    • Yeah i would've hoped this would be on the circumstance
