For Marine Products Comms, etc. WHAT A COMPANY!

So, I saw this with my own eyes, while visiting associates, in their office:

They're "boat crazy" & wanted radios for the boat & for the dingy. I watched as he showed me prices in AU & on this company's eStore.

About Au $215 for dingy radio (handheld) & Au $210 for boat radio, PLUS shipping of Au $44 each… but she noticed that ordering 2 wins you a discount of about $20 in the shipping fee for the 2nd.

So, they eMailed the eStore to confirm that the S+H discount would apply in their case (ie, if they ordered both radios together).

It did, but the reply had an invoice with a difference: It was LESS than expected. When they read the reply eMail closer, they noticed that it advised that they were being charged -lower- prices than were posted online! We computed that they saved ~ Au $40, all up.

(They didn't have to do that, ie, "above & beyond" the advertised discount for the 2nd radio being shipped along with the first one)

What a company! (This -seldom- happens, in my experience, with HK-based discounters! But it's nice to see, when it does happen!)

Here's the eStore's URL link: http://www.KoalaGPS.com/

They haven't got their radios yet, so maybe hold off until we confirm that all this was legit' before ordering yourself, to be safe.

( Gear was ordered THIS WEEK… maybe come back in 3 - 4 weeks. )

i have no idea what you are talking about

    • But strangely, I want to know more…. fill me in 'clearly non rep of the store'

      • A Partial Glossary:

        • boat radio = 25 watt fixed VHF marine radio (installed in boat)

        • dingy radio = low-power, handheld VHF marine radio

        • dingy = small boat, often powered by renewable energy (ie, person powered oars ;-)

    • If you have a marine products (boating supplies, equipment, etc.) store nearby, pop in & see what they carry.

These guys have an online store with such products, and we got a better than expected deal from them… or… we expect to (ie, if
      our gear arrives).

I'll try to remember to let you know if all is as expected, with the
      next 3-4 weeks.

(The rest is commentary or story-fillers ;-)
