¿ Is this model made in Germany?

¡ No Germany, no deal !

You know how to tell that it's made in Germany? The seller will announce it in all caps.

I bought last time dropped from $1400 to $1200 and another discount 20% paid by Zip, thats make below $1000 mark

    How many stopped?

5 star reviews from 4 people who've owned it a only few weeks doesn't mean much. It's too soon to determine if this model is a lemon

  • Google suggests a king-size quilt requires a 10kg machine. Can the OB experts confirm or deny?

    • Bosch machines are normally on the small side when comparing the same kilogram with other brands. LG is still the preferred washer.

I agree. When I had an 8kg Bosch, could hardly stuff 6kg of clothes into it. Even then it was too much for the machine and started to do odd things like clothes getting caught between the seal and the drum and torn. I don't believe these kg ratings on front loaders mean are accurate at all (having gone to the trouble of weighing my laundry to determine this).

        • I get the convenience of having to load the washer once only, but I'm pretty sure this Bosch can do two smaller loads with better results, less water, in similar time compared to any top loader.

There are reasons why there are no commercial top loaders, and it's not stackability only :)

But can it then stitch two half-quilts back together? 😉

      • Actually that’s a bit of a hogwash. Check the drum size and volume in litres. If they are above 80litres then yes genuine 10k capacity otherwise it just a play in the energy rating as you can have a higher dry weight capacity with lower energy star rating.

I got this from Good Guys by price matching appliances online's price of $799 within the last couple of weeks

  • With the front load machine, it will be better to buy the ones with allowing to add clothing during washing.

    • +1

I believe this has that feature

    • +2

I don't find that useful. Only good if you regularly do 3 hr washes which only tend to be linen loads.

    Now $809

  • Thank you for the tip, I'll give it a go. Hopefully it's a good one.

There was a cashback deal of 5% today, which brought it down for $780.
