The confirmation email is sent through a bulk email processor that is also used by spammers. The emails exhibit a number of traits that increases their spam rating in most spam filters. It's very likely that your confirmation email has been classified as Junk or possibly even rejected by the destination MTA. My confirmation arrived in about 3 minutes - a bit on the slow side. Gleam competition notifications are usually delivered in 20-40 seconds. Google email tends to arrive in 10-20 seconds and often faster.
