10% off In-Store Grocery Shops Once a Month ($50 Discount Cap) @ Woolworths (For Insurance / Money / Mobile Customers)

130

Mod Note: this is a long running deal, with no expiry. Not targeted. Only valid for customers of a Woolworths mobile or financial product.

Update: Effective from 1st July 2023, 10% off one shop every month will be available in store only.

If you are entitled to a similar 10% discount offer with any of your other Woolworths Credit Card, Woolworths Insurance and/or Woolworths Mobile products, you can use the discount offer once only in respect of all such products in any calendar month. Offer and is limited to one transaction per customer, up to a value of $500 of groceries in a single transaction (maximum $50 discount).

Original deal description:

Unsure if targeted. I was doing my regular Friday night Click & Collect order, clicked on the Honey button at check out and to my surprise actually got a discount off a <$50 spend. I googled the promo code (SEP2021) and found this page.

It looks like WWs have offered their credit card customers an online promo code as they are currently doing some maintenance on their promo systems. I'm not a CC customer though and it worked for me.

I am a customer of WWs insurance (albeit have already used my 10% discount this month) and have an ED Rewards number.

Worth a go anyway, good luck

  • Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion.

Maybe they saw you shopping at Coles the other day?

  • +1

This code is for WW insurance usually.

  • +2

    Woolworths Mobile monthly discount code.

  • +7

I have Woolworths insurance so use this monthly, but I noticed that you can use the monthly online and then again monthly instore (during the same month)
Little hack that might come in handy to double up on your monthly discount code

    • Ahh coool. Thanks dude

    • Noticed this too as I get it from Woolies mobile, usually do 2 decent sized shops per month ($200+) and make sure I do one online and one instore. The combined discount effectively pays for my mobile for the month

    • +1

Someone noted this previously on a WW monthly 10% thread, so tried it out last month - worked for me to use one instore and one online. Woolies mobile just keeps giving!

    • Thank you for sharing this!

  • Old news and you need to either have car insurance or mobile with Woolworths

  • Will it work with pet insurance? Have already used the in store discount for the month

    • +1

Yes it should. I use my car insurance to get 10% in store AND online.

    • I have pet insurance and can confirm I used it in store last week and online today.

  • Monthly rewards code for woolies mobile/CC/insurance

  • What about the roadside assist of 5%? Would it be same concept like one discount online and in-store per month?

  • If you have both mobile and insurance, and link to one account, does the discount stack i.e. 10% + 10% in a single shop? TIA

    • Of course NOT

  • +1

45 days after you sign up before they allow you to use the code.
    Pretty dodgy.

  • Anyone else having trouble applying DEC2021 this month?

  • Can you buy gift cards and get 10% off?

    • The discounts dont apply to gift cards,

  • Online promo code for April is APR2022.

  • +2

    JUN2022

  • If you have a Woolworths mobile contract and an insurance product, can you use the 10% discount twice online AND twice in store? (one for mobile, and one for insurance)

Or is it just once, regardless of how many different contracts/policies you have?

  • Looks like they have blocked the possibility of getting the 10% twice per month, in-store and online. I shopped in-store with 10% off earlier this month, and now the online code is showing "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion".

    • Have you done in store first before then online?
Maybe online first will work, with in store later in the month.

      • Yes, I have done it both ways around before and it has always worked until now.

The Woolies website now even has a notification "We're currently making some updates to our systems and processes for the 10% off once a month offer". I guess that's it for getting the ability twice a month.

    • +2

yup same here. normally I claim 2x but tonight it’s showing im not eligible thus i came here to see if others are experiencing the same thing

      • yep identical experience for me :-(

    • +3

I've found online first then in-store later on still works

  • +2

Tried to use Woolworths Mobile 10% off online after already using it in store the week before. No success. Chatted to agent and pretended like I had no idea what I was doing and said I'd heard it could be used once in store and once online. Response I got was 'can only be used once either online or in store, not both'. I think Woolworths have OzBargained us.

  • how long would 10% off last after number expired? I bought number for one month then used 10% off several months, now it seems totally gone.

Did anyone else get an email announcing the end of the Woolworths Credit Cards?

    "
Macquarie has been the issuer of Woolworths credit cards, including your card, for the past eight years. After careful consideration we've decided to move Woolworths credit card customers to a Macquarie credit card, as Macquarie will no longer be offering Woolworths credit cards."

    "
Your current Woolworths credit card ending in xxxx, along with any additional cardholders' cards that are currently open, will be replaced with a new Macquarie Platinum Visa credit card earning Macquarie Rewards.
Your annual primary cardholder fee of $49.00 will remain the same and will be charged on the same anniversary date.
You can expect to receive your Macquarie credit card, which will have a new card number, in the mail from June 2023.
If eligible, you’ll continue to receive Woolworths Shopping Cards up until the date your account is moved to a Macquarie credit card account.
There will be no changes to your Everyday Rewards account, and you can continue to collect Everyday Rewards points by scanning your Everyday Rewards barcode at Woolworths or your digital card in the Everyday Rewards app. See the Everyday Rewards terms and conditions for more information."

    and the important part:
    "
Up until Saturday 30 September 2023, you will have access to the 10% off your grocery shop once a month at Woolworths Supermarket by scanning the Everyday Rewards barcode on the back of your Woolworths Credit Card. Access to your other Woolworths credit card benefits will also change, and further details can be found on our support page
    "

    • Thanks for the heads up!

  • My wife and I have the CC attached to my Everyday Rewards Card, and my wifes Woolworths Mobile Account attached to her Everyday Rewards Card to get multiple 10% off shops per month.

Looks like it may be worth getting a second mobile (long expiry) sim just to keep getting the second 10% off.

    OR everyday extra? https://www.woolworthsrewards.com.au/extra.html

    • to get multiple 10% off shops per month.

      Wait, wat? How??

      • +1

I have an everyday rewards card and have the woolworths CC linked to that. It gets 10% off a shop per month.
My wife has an everyday rewards card and woolworths mobile sim linked to that. It gets 10% off a shop per month.

Just have to manage the 2 x everyday rewards cards.

Terms of the offer will be updated soon:

Effective from 1st July 2023, 10% off one shop every month will be available in store only.

Pretty bad news , now it’s like coles where you can’t use gift cards online

    • Booooo!

    • +1

Pretty disappointed at this. In store shopping is for chumps. Not worth the extra time wasted. I reckon we vote with our feet and move away from Woolworths mobile. We certainly will be and also shopping at Woolies a lot less.

      • -1

But you still get a 10% off monthly from online shopping by using the month coupon code, eg: JUL23, AUG23 etc. That's for having an Everyday Rewards card. The way I always did it was shopping fortnightly, once online and the other in store. I agree I don't like shopping instore but unless I'm mistaken, the way I've always done it is still available now. I'm not sure what's really changed.

    • it was too good of a deal I reckon. I told too many people that's for sure.

  • If I am an everyday extra member (so already get 10% a month off 1 shop) and sign up to woolworths mobile will i be able to get another 10% off for a second shop that month? I cant find a clear answer on their site or a human to talk to

    Thanks

  • Can you get the discount for each product you have, and combine them in a transaction, or do they have to be in separate transactions?

    • The 10% off your in-store shop at Woolworths Supermarkets offer applies to active Everyday Insurance policyholders and active Woolworths Mobile Customers who have a registered Everyday Rewards card linked to their active Insurance policy or Mobile account(s).

When can I redeem this offer?

The offer period commences at 12:01am (AEST/AEDT) on the first day of every calendar month and ends at 11:59pm (AEST/AEDT) on the last day of that same calendar month. Customers can only redeem the offer once during each offer period regardless of the number of Everyday Insurance Policies, Woolworths Mobile Accounts or Woolworths Credit Cards they hold.

So that means once only with new terms and condition.

  • Can you use it on gift cards?

    • Did you end up trying? This is so annoying how they have removed online shopping.

  • +1

It's really disappointing that the Insurance discount and Everyday Extra discount can't be used online anymore… Less incentive to keep shopping with WW for me.

See my comment a few above and also one from "grrrr" a few above that. Both kinda explain how you can still get 2 x 10% discounts monthly. Unlike him I'm single but technically with a partner you'd be able to get 3 a month using this strategy.

I just assumed everyone was already doing this.

      • You cant redeem online 10 % discount any longer from 1st of July 2023 . Please follow up original thread and Woolworth website

"As of 1 July 2023, you are no longer be able to redeem your 10% discount online (including Pick Up & Direct to boot), however, you can still redeem this offer in-store at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro"

        • I just found out about this.
Tried order online with this month's code this evening but was denied.

Spoke to the support via chat and they took pity on me and gave me a $15 coupon :P. Better than nothing I guess.

      • Have you actually done this this month online or not? Because it sound like you're talking about the deal which no longer exists. If this deal does exist please post is as a bargain

  • I’m looking to switch to Woolworths Mobile, but I’ve noticed on its website that all prepaid plans are now having 4G access only. Given that Telstra has enabled 5G access on all its plans, and my friend’s Woolworths prepaid SIM card which was activated during the 5G trial still has 5G access now, can I safely assume that I will have 5G access if I switch to one of the prepaid plans today? Thanks!

Everyday Rewards Extra brings it back for online shop:

Not the case for insurance / mobile customers however it seems.
