  • Looks like pricing is coming back down if you are able to negotiate a sub >$2500 price!

  • Promotion Period : 24/08/2021 - 04/10/2021

    Redemption Period : 24/08/2021 - 21/12/2021

me- looking at my receipt: Purchase date: 22 September…

    Well… that's not good :P

    • What do you mean lol, 22nd September is within both the Promotion and Redemption dates. 22/09/2021

      • +1

        ……….. past midnight - i read it as 24/09 not 24/08…

        • Hi, would you explaine to me the Promotion Period, Redemption Period and their connection with your receipt?

  • +1

    Thank you!! just bought one

  • WOW that's my laptop! I bought one last week when it was 2999 negotiated to 2760, now it can be negotiated for even less! Glad to see prices going down, slowly

Thanks heaps mate, snagged one as well. I've been looking for one for a while, it helps that this seems to be the last Legion model they have on their site with a 3070.

  • I was literally just about to search the Lenovo site for the 3060 Ryzen 7 pricing as I'd talked myself out of the 3070 due to the ~$500 price difference. I'm aiming for MSFS gameplay only; spend the extra for 3070 or try to negotiate the 3060 down further?

Is there a benefit to going through the .edu or small business portals? Does Cashrewards work with these or just the main site?

    • +1

when you look at benchmarks of 3060 vs 3070 I think if you can stretch to 3070 it will be definitely worth it. Unless you can get the 3060 super cheap.
Looking at .edu pricing I think one guy said he was TAFE (but without EDU address) and got it for $2,500, so I don't think there will be much more to squeeze.

      • Thanks. The one I am currently looking at is:

        Processor : AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H (8C / 16T, 3.2 / 4.4GHz, 4MB L2 / 16MB L3)
        Operating System : Windows 10 Home 64
        Memory : 2x 8 GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200
        Warranty : 1 Year Depot
        Graphics : NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 6GB GDDR6, Boost Clock 1425 / 1702MHz, TGP 130W
        Battery : Integrated 80Wh

@ $2,042.00 through edu store. Maybe that could come down more too but not sure.

I answered my own question that cashrewards won't work through .edu and yeah instant gratification is good…

        • I ordered my 3070 through the .edu store and got $2475 as well so no further discount.

definitely helps to search the forum too - I posted this as a deal but was moved to the forum.
Initially the first online chat person offered me $2670, then the second one I said my budget was $2500 so they came up with $2475
Goes to show how much profit is built into these systems
Good we can get the free copy of Battlefield 2042.

Anyway, my order was placed last night at 9pm and I already have a DHL tracking number. The fact the laptop was in stock was the deal breaker, as I didn't want to wait 8 weeks

    • Thanks! Bought one. How long does it take to process the order? 12h?

      • +1

Order was processed next business day for me since I ordered at 9pm Wed, and despatched via DHL as well on Thursday. Impressive given they quote 2 business days for despatch on the website. Good thing about online chat is they are still available well into the evening, not traditional 9-5 hours.

Initially when you check your order status, mine initially said delivery by 11th October (North Qld) but once I got DHL tracking, DHL said 5 October delivery as Monday 4th October public holiday in Qld.

    • Hi Daniel, just wondering if you can pm me the order number? the rep is asking in order to price match, thanks in advance.

  • I'm still struggling to decide either to buy this laptop or just go for a desktop:
    https://www.bpctech.com.au/kp-biforstrefresh-kraken-power-bi…

Similar price, but desktop should have much better performance and easier to upgrade after 5 years ?

It's really for the new AW3821DW I bought when it was on promotion and given now we are WHF, don't think I will be travelling a lot for the coming 2 - 3 years.

By saying that laptop feels more convenient, can just plug & play to any monitors, TV etc. Plus I don't really play much AAA games, only LOL, COD, etc.

Need some advice on decision making, please……

    • Desktop will outperform this laptop. Was considering a Umart build myself. But since I got this down to $2475 took the plunge. Seems the ecoupon Ready2ship not valid now so website price is up at $2980. And now saying only 2 left in stock. Don't know what shipping time will be when these last two go (wouldn't have ordered with a 8-10week shipping time. I want this now!). Could still what I tried, "my budget is $2500" but opportunity may have passed.

      • Yup missed it.

Tried a couple of guys from online chat, they could only offer 2800+ even with education ACC.

        Thanks anyway.

  • do you have your order number so I can quote it to the representative in chat.

  • Anyone knows if it can stack with cashback for these online negotiated quote?

  • Paid $2550 should arrive in the next few hours. Hopefully the quality control is okay.

  • Still way too expensive!

500gb ssd and 16gb ram and late 2021 for $2500??

1TB ssd and 32gb ram was only $2400 in early 2021.

This laptop shouldn't cost more than $2000 now

  • i could not Negotiated
they keep on saying they cant discount and was asking for order number from which someone purchased for 2475

    help plz

what can i do ? please

  • Got it for 2450, but the screen is on 16:10, don't quite like this, and not sure if others have noticed, sometimes the fan is on high pitch noise even on light work.

  • +2

Mine arrived yesterday. Very happy with screen, resolution, brightness, and frame rates - installed forza horizon and Fortnite so far

    • Was wondering if you got it. The 6-9 days they quoted me for the 3060 version of the same machine has now blown out to a month (ordered 1 Oct now due to ship 31 October) despite the Lenovo website still stating 6-9 days for that machine now. I bought it through the small business portal using the $500 trade in offer and have made my unhappiness known, particularly since I could have ordered the Ryzen 7 version for $300 cheaper if I was happy to wait a month.

  • Hey everyone would be lovely if any of you who got it for $2400 ish range could send in this thread your order number ideally @danielt25 / As i bought the exact same model 3 hours before you and was charged $2818.

They requested an order number to get myself the same price or if anyone else could supply me with theres would be great thank you all

  • If anyone is curious I bought the AMD 3070 L5P on October 28th from the Lenovo education site and got the email saying it was picked up this arvo.

  • I purchased a model with 5800H + 3070 for $1890, taking into account 16% cashback from Shopback

    Kinda insane deal

    • isn't a 7
8845HS with a rtx 4060 better than 3070.? or not really is that wors..?

  • ah ok I'm interested … $2.2K laptop budget
