Apparently this game was made in just over 2 weeks for a tutorial but has managed to get 1,177 reviews which are ''overwhelmingly positive'' on steam. Best of all, its free!

About the game:

This is a boring third-person zombie game with no plot
Please don’t have high expectations for the game, this is just a game I made for the tutorial, there is no gameplay, no plot, pure entertainment
Complete the quest to kill all the zombies
Unless you have super high marksmanship, you'll need to search the scene for ammunition supplies
5 or more melee attacks will trigger a skill that can kill a zombie in one blow
There are no health packs, which means you have to keep an eye on your health
There are two maps and weapons of different difficulty for players to choose from
The total production time is only 17 days
This game is a teaching case game of bilibili Chen Jiacheng, not an officially released game
The reason why I list Steam is just to allow my fans to quickly download the experience

      I wouldn't necessarily say syswong's comments were racially motivated.
      Could be just a healthy distrust of the CCP and their track record of dodgy practices in the IT space and control of everything that goes in and out of their internal networks (Great China Firewall)

  if you're paying for your internet and your electricity.. no, no it's not… but there is certainly no cost to permanently attach the game to your steam account.

        @alamodey: maybe you guys are doing it on your phones or maybe you have region issues with Steam? who knows.. I used the Steam client on my PC and clicked the 'free to play' button.. then it added it to my library and I have the option to download it.

Cool find, I will check this out and reviews said it's a short game.
It looks identical to an Android game called LifeAfter.

  Just played and finished it. So it's basically two small maps (easy and hard) where you take out all the zombies.
  It's an beta game so they haven't added in anything else and it will only take 15-30 minutes to finish.
  
  It's probably a game to wait for until they make more content. Game movements are very basic, there's no upgrade, etc and it's offline.

    If you read the description it was made for a tutorial video on creating a basic zombie shooting game as quickly as possible. They just decided to release the finished tutorial result on Steam to make downloading it easier to try out. Not a beta game, just a sample project.

i installed the game and it installed a virus onto my system. the game play is lame. i was able to head shot them from across the map. i uninstalled the game already.
