Help Finding Cheapest 27” 144hz Gaming Monitor

Hey OzBargain Team!

I’m in the market for a 27-32” gaming monitor with 144hz. Trying to find the cheapest place that has availability to pick up as I’ve had a few bad experiences with tv/monitor deliveries getting damaged in the past.

My PC specs are https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/ready-to-run-pcs/gaming-…

I thought about getting a 4k monitor, but as I have a 4k HDR tv I use for media, it doesn’t bother me too much, as most 4k monitors on a budget are capped at 60hz. I’d much rather have a Full HD monitor running at 144+

Any chance anyone can help me out and find available stock for click collect in the ryde/Hornsby areas?

The Dell S2721DGF has been quite popular for a 27" 144hz IPS Monitor

Nevermind, saw that you wanted pickup only.

    • Yeah pickup would be most preferred. Had bad experiences with deliveries, and I also broke my current monitor so the sooner I can get one the sooner I can game again 😅

    Don't buy the "cheapest" monitor for a $3,500 rig…

You should really be aiming for a decent 1440p one, not 1080p.

27" is far too small too, a 32" would be sweet spot.

    • I would be happier with a 1440p monitor, but I don’t want to spend more than $500 for a monitor, as next March I’m giving myself a birthday present of an ultra wide 4k monitor

      • LG 32GK650F pickup from Mwave then.

      Don't think there's anything wrong with 1440p 27".
      Really loving my Dell S2721DGF

27" is far too small. A 32" has 40% larger surface area and significantly better for gaming as well as productivity.

Got a 27" free from work for WFH and cannot stand it even after 5 years of triple-MX279H setup before upgrading to 32"ers.

Once you upgrade, you won't go back. YMMV.

The Gigabyte G27 monitors are good value for money for a fast 27". I had the M27Q (better colour reproduction) and it was a great screen, just a tad big for what I wanted and switched back to 24".

Seems a little harder to find the flat one since it hit EOL, but scorptec have the curved one in stock at Macquarie Park and on sale for $429 - https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/25plus-inch/926…

  • Samsung g5 27" 1440p 144hz, it's alright monitor.

  • [edit] sorry I just noticed it's Out Of Stock in your area :(
    $367 Philips 27” QHD Gaming Monitor 275M8
    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/philips-27…
    27 inch, 144hz, 1440p, VA (I personally prefer IPS)
I haven't used this one before but I have dual Philips 272M8 (27", 144hz, 1080P, IPS) and really happy with it. Got them on sale for $250 each.
If it weren't for availability you'd probably have more to pick from.
