Recommendations for a Desk/Small Fan for Overnight

Hi guys,
Sadly my parners wall powered clip fan that she would clip to the bedside table broke a couple months back, and so i am needing a replacement asap with the weather heating up.
The main use is for it to run through the night, to circulate air onto her feet, which get extremely hot in summer.
However almost every small fan i've looked at online, either has bad reviews for being way too loud, or no strength in the fan at all, or $200 (im looking at you vornado)
We tried a 40cm fan, which was pretty cheap and quite loud and a bit big for what she wants.
So i turn to the trustworthy source that is ozbargain for some recommendations, as your input is more trustworthy than a couple interesting amazon reviews.
Thanks :)

Get the Vornado. It's worth it.

    You've tried the cheap ones.

    • Which vornado model do you recommend?

      • For your use case, you'll want the quieter DC version so either 533DC or 633DC.

For normal home use in lieu of air con (and not sensitive to sound), you'll want the 660 air circulator. $250'ish from Costco.

        • Thanks for the model numbers. We have aircon, however its not the best (ducted) and we try not to run it overnight as it has to be on for the entire house.

          • @chinospot: I have a 660 pointed at the top corner of living room (how it's supposed to be as an air circulator vs pedestal fan) and it keeps the entire room cool. Significantly reduced usage of air con even during summer. I would recommend it.

But for bedroom and focus on direct air, consider the smaller DCs instead.

          • @chinospot: Just found these in Woolworths for $45 which might suit you better being more compact: https://i.imgur.com/fZEFRT8.jpg

      • Larger the fan, the quieter it should be. I have the larger and smaller DC vornados. I recommend the larger one so you can use it for other things too.

      • Good Guys Commercial just sent an email that they have the Vornado 660 for $160

  • onto her feet, which get extremely hot in summer.

Try these for your hot girlfriend….

    • Oh jv……..
But in all seriousness, i think these would be great, if they kept cold for the duration of the night, however i'd imagine they will heat up after a while and do the opposite of what we want.

        • I have seen those bedfan devices before, however my partner is a firm believer of feet belonging outside the blanket, so im not sure if this would well at all.
Might pick up a pair of those socks for day to day use

  • Xiaomi Fan 2s. It can be battery operated and run cordless all night. It is also very quiet since it's DC powered.

    • This does look pretty good. It certainly ticks the box of being quiet, maybe a little large. I assume the height is adjustable on this?

      • Check the measurements, people actually complain it's too small. It's only 96cm high.

Another bonus is that it's smart so you can schedule it to turn on and off.

        • Will do some measuring when home.
I think the smart functions to change fanspeed will be a welcomed feature.
