When Is The Best Time to Churn from Superloop nbn?

Superloop special was $10 off 6 months, did you guys leave at the very last few days of the 6th month or the 7th month?

SL fine print:
If you change your Superloop NBN Plan during the discount period, then the $10 discount will be
removed from the monthly internet service charge and the price of the monthly internet service charge
will revert to the minimum monthly charge set out in our Critical Information Summary (CIS)

says if we leave on the last day of the 6th month, the $10 discount will be removed as we did not finish the 6th month?

thank you all for replying, really appreciated it!

I would leave at the end of the 6th month, as some RSPs bill you for a full month when you tick over into the next month and don't pro rata you a refund.

I left Belong for Superloop in the last week of the last month of their discount. They didn't pull any funny business over it

Isn't that fine print about people signing up for X discount then downgrading their plans, rather than your churn away situation?

Superloop doesn't do a prorata refund when you leave during your billing cycle (unlike AussieBB), so I churned a week before the end of my current billing cycle, to both maximise the value obtained from the month and to also give me a few days up my sleeve should the churn have failed for any reason.

  • i left tangerine for superloop but am finished 6 months, looking for unlimited 50mbps for less than $69.95

I'm in the market too, do a search on OzBargain & you'll find…
Superloop - highly recommended (referral works too)
Tangerine - highly recommended (referral works too)
MyRepublic - unsure of their service, but it fits into your pricing range
Spintel (I probably won't go with them, given how bad their service was..)

Just to add to your post.

I am on the Tangerine HFC NBN 50/20 plan NW of Sydney for over a month now. Absolutely no issues with their speed mostly at 10ms ping 48-53/18-19 and no drop outs. Customer service had been good the last 2 times I called to confirm my setting is correct and to resent my referral code. Referral $25/$25 works BUT they/their system might play dumb and you need to call them to get the credit put into your account.

Going to churn to Superloop after 6 months and I hope they are at least equal if not better than Tangerine.

        • I might stay with superloop someone dannyb from ozbargain just now used my referral code

that will give me a discount for another 6 months

          Thank you Oz Bargain 😇

You should switch on the last few days to the new RSP. However, you should give sufficient notice to your old RSP as required and advise the termination date be on the last day of the billing cycle without penalty. That way if you get switched over to the new RSP a few days early you are only missing out of those few days.

  • if you're on the kings park POI, never is the time to switch

    • What’s with kings park poi?

      • no internet from midnight and no support

  • I am thinking of leaving exetel for superloop's 100/20 plan. I would like to find out what 's the abovementioned referral code about and is it relevant for me as a new customer to SP?
