100k Flybuys or 130k Altitude points?

Hi guys, for the professionals which would be a better go assuming I may fly one way overseas in Feb 22? I'm thinking Altitude points is more flexible but Flybuys may with worth more.

Any ideas?

    Altitude have some good partnerships with a lot of good airlines so if you are looking to travel internationally then prob worth it more than Flybuys. I only ever use Flybuys for Coles and First Choice/Liquor Land, though they do have a few other decent partnerships.

    Altitude to Krisflyer = 43k points (3/1)
    Altitude to Velocity = 43k points (3/1)
    Flybuys to Velocity = 50k points (2/1) > 33k krisflyer (1.5/1)

    Altitude = $500 wish gift cards / $460 cashback / $650 Super contribution
    Flybuys = $500 wish gift cards
    Flybuys= $500 credit at flybuys travel

    Also could depend on what points/rewards program you're already enrolled in.

    • cant transfer velocity to KF … yet

      problem with altitude is the transfer rate is not great and the annual fee is high.

      ANZ rewards on the other hand is $0 annual fee at the moment, 180k points which gives you 60k KF

  • Thanks both, guess it's mostly a toss up between more airlines or better value for velocity.

      Best value would be redeeming for reward flights from either of the programs.
      50k KF gets you return business to NZ or one way to Europe (app $1200-$3000 value)

  • Is there a way to use up bulk flybuys at coles in one transaction?

      Convert to flybuys dollars and pay using flybuys card.
