36sq Meter Room Air Con

Looking for options to cool a large room ideally not noisey. Reviews of Kogans portable 4.4kw portable air con units are terrible.

Note room has entire wall as a window.

Have tried 3 plug in fans but the humidity is brutal and never know if opening doors and windows helps or makes it worse.

Which state do you reside in? I wonder if getting a dehumidifier might be the go? It won't cool (it'll slightly heat up), but will reduce humidity.

        Forget the dehumidifier idea then.

portable AC are pretty terrible with noise and wasted energy ( renting myself and have 2 both are noisy as!) a window / wall mount unit would be the go but if you are going to the hassle of installing that then id really just make the jump to a properly installed AC ( non ducted if only for one room)

if you are renting then it'll be a compromise….

tonnes of videos on YouTube, this guy is worth a watch on the topic of portable vs other units.

Even the best portable aircon is only really good for a bedroom, ie. ~10m2 and will be noisy as hell. Won't suit either of your requirements.

36m2 with entire window wall? Absolutely no chance.

Yeah, best to fork out for proper ac. I had portable on a small 3x3 room and it only managed to bring temperature down just below 30 on a 8+ day, constantly pulling out 2400w output. That was the dry Melbourne summer. OP will have higher humidity and will struggle harder.
