Anyone Know How I Can Use My Smart TV as a Wireless Monitor for My Computer?

So I'm watching a Dota 2 stream on my computer, from the client, which I can render in 4k (my monitor is only 2k). I have a 4K LG C1 in the other room, can I make the image appear on there?

My computer doesn't have "connect to a wireless display" option in display settings…

    Chromecast- Cast Desktop?

  • Lot of power for a stream, the LG twitch app will stream quality based on your internet connection, can confirm it looks great.

    • but Twitch isn't streaming in 4k, whereas my computer client can ouput max settings at 120 frames at 4k, it would be great if i could get that on my TV screen without physically moving my computer into a different room

Twitch doesn't even support 4k 120hz stream source anyway, you're upscaling with either method, just use the telly m8.

          I know that.

          just use the telly m8.

But that's what I'm trying to do. I want my computer on my TV, without having to move my computer to the living room.

he isn't using twitch at all, he has the dota 2 game client open on his computer, you can watch live games in the dota 2 client.

Simply doesn't exist, not enough bandwidth for a 4K wireless connection. Best you're gonna get is 1080p with wireless.

If you had Ethernet through the house, you could use something like HDBaseT which will support 4K@60 depending on how long the run was.

  • Extra long HDMi!
