Hey has any one played the BF2042 beta yet? I did not pre-order the game so i have to wait, hows the game play and weapons, graphics?

Going to strap some C5 to the front of the Humvee and see how it goes lol.
I'm not feeling this one, it's not enough of an improvement to get me to preorder, and the bugs are very persistent
I'm so glad Battlefield went back to a modern setting.
I couldn't stand BF1 and BFV.
Yeah, World War games are really overdone.
Open beta starts tomorrow so try it out over the weekend.
I got my preorder code and started to play (Really looking forward to it) I know its a beta, but it diddnt grab me, so will just play FC6 over the weekend and not worry about the beta, and wait for the full game.
NB: I think its going to be one of those games that is very underdone at release and it grows over time to become a very good game. but by the time it has we have mostly moved on.
Yea BF4 was like that and still solid now.
Its very disappointing in my opinion.
I am hoping they have made significant improvements recently, as the beta is apparently a few month old build.
I'll give it another shot during the open beta, but likely cancelling my order at this stage.
Looks like it sucks on PC - meanwhile the PS4 version has been working fine for me
Keep in mind the Open Beta is a version from a month ago or so (that’s how software development works apparently) so the retail release should be significantly more polished.
It would have to be. Feels like an alpha release.
i.e. you can't even open the settings menu without having to cntl alt delete at the moment.

I've been playing this over the last 2 days.
I know it's a beta but it's rough.
It ran pretty badly on my PC and crashed about twenty minutes in so I just uninstalled.
What is your setup?
i7-9700, 16GB 3200 CL16 & GTX1080Ti. I played @1440p low and while the fps was just fine it really did stutter a lot.
Yea same issue here my graphics card is not being utilised properly.
Its probably the worse optimised BF beta yet graphics wise, its running bad on my RX5600 XT but it is an Nvidia sponsored tittle so that might be why, probably won't get FSR support.
Game play is okay i prefer this style over BF5, heaps of glitches and bug still and i played BF1 and BF5 beta they where not this bad.I spent some time in the scout and in the Humvee which is fun.
Are we playing with consoles? it shows people on playing using Playstations?
I ran it on pc no matter high/med/low it all gave me similar fps 50ish, Its ok gets pretty boring, Helis seem invincible against stingers so gave up trying to take them down and the heli flying is awful, the sliding makes it seem like an apex clone ziplining all over the shop. will probably get it at $50
It was boring at the beginning figuring things out but once you get into the flow of the battlefield, you can find and engage in hotspots faster. The map is sparse but have a look around you and you'll see lots of action taking place. Driving around the humvee is quite fun and again like BF2/4 possible to mow down scores of infantry driving yourself and switching to the minigun.
What i liked about BF2 was that the smaller map made chokepoints that were fun to contest, having these huge maps there's less of that going on, maybe in another 2042 map it could bring around something like it.
it'll be a purchase for me but i can wait for the next deal and see how smooth the initial launch goes.
I strapped some C5 to my Humvee ran into a tank and only done like 70 damage, had to high tail it out of there lol. Not that many quads in that map i didn't end up trying out a quad bike.
I had fun in the heli's clearing the roofs. Ah yea never get in a vehicle if the AI is driving lol.
The performance of the beta was so horrible I deleted the game after giving it 2 hours playtime. Was only rocking 55-60 FPS on an RTX 2070 MQ (2k resolution) Low settings.
That's bad, my game ran the same as yours on my RX5600 XT. What wattage is your card?
I've experienced a fair few bugs.
Couldn't connect to the server for hours.
As someone who's only played bfv and bf1, graphics seem on par with a yearly update, and small changes like how creating the class works and new equipment.
Thought there would be more significant changes with the large gap between games.
I got bored quickly.
