    12 beers $85, absolute bargain

    • wait…its got 12 numbers on the front too!

But seriously, the top 10 craft beers like Balter are only $59 (only…) for 16.

What sort of beers are we talking here, like micro brewery sized stuff, small batch?

Hey guys, totally understand its not the cheapest product per can but like most of the advent calendars, its more about the variety. The selection is made up of only beers brewed in WA and at least half of the box is made up of limited release stuff. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea and totally understand the comments though!

For that price I'd want to know what I'm getting…

@chrisandrew: Totally understand Chris but we decided that would take away from the surprise of opening the box day by day so we decided to keep the selection a secret. We sat down and had a blind tasting of over 50 WA beers and arrived at the 12 tasty drops that ended up in our selection so we can assure you they are worth the $!

@liamcc: I remain skeptical.. and I've paid upwards of $18 per bottle/can at times. In any case, taking the punt isn't for me on this occasion. Respectfully, this is ozBargain, not ozLuckyDip.

            • +1

@liamcc: If I ordered this now with the knowledge of which beers were in the case, there's no way I'd remember those beers come December. It's still a surprise and at the least the day at which is crack into that beer would be a mystery.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking by '12 mystery craft beers' you mean: Here's some mostly average craft beers and 2 delicious ones. All mixed packs do this. I'd love to believe you chose the best 12 craft beers from 50 but it sounds like a marketing gimmick at the moment.

I get you wanting to sell the beers mate but in your post above you have said: "totally understand its not the cheapest product". This is a bargain website. A lot of vendors try to use it for free advertising and it probably works sometimes but if you want to push your product it might be better paying for marketing on FB or something like that.

You won't get much love on a bargain website selling something that may be of interest in terms of variety, but lacking in value when it comes to cost. Just my 2c.

@cvas: Totally understand mate but I suppose from our perspective our comment above is in regards to cheaper product per can when comparing it to cheaper beers on offer. The total price of the box, including delivery, is still a lot cheaper than the RRP of the 12 beers in the box and then we chucked on the extra $5 off exclusively for OzBargain as well.

          • @cvas: And not only that, it can be quite damaging to your brand/reputation.

        • gotta say I've never heard of you. I'd buy an unknown advent calendar from carwyn cellars or beer cartel because I know them and know what kind of beer they'd send

  • Lol 85 bucks for 12 Mystery beers.

Hey guys be nice to WA.
    They're trying their best.
    Not their fault.

    • Haha neg.

  • This is not OzAdvertise

This is pretty normal pricing. I bought the Carwyn one for around $190 for 24 and the Beer Cartel one for $180 ish also.
Sorry you're getting dragged. OzBarg isnt the place for posting this kind of stuff though, the people here would rather a 24 pack of Hammer 'n Tongs for $26

    • Difference is some of those, like the craft cartel, often have one off beers you can't/don't get in normal availability.

Part of the price is the novelty, but part is the 'these are one off or special releases'.

If this kit is just a bunch of regular range mixed into an advent calendar (no idea how it's advent if it's only 16..who wants till wait till mid December ;) ), then it's not really worthy of charging the same premium.
