Galcon Irrigation Controller Not Working

Hi I have a Galcon controller installed on the tap and few days back after I changed its battery its stopped working. The display and timer are working well , however it does not allow water to flow even though the controller shows water flowing.
I read the manual but nothing is mentioned there, any ideas how to make it work?

          Ah no, no such symbol appears although when I press it thrice it does appear and disappear as per manual
