Aldi had some a while back. Not sure if they still do.

    • its already expired i guess TT^TT

      • Yes but it was only like 1-2 weeks ago so should be still in store if they have some left over. Best thing is if they don't sell they discount them further ;)

        • well i have been told from the aldi which nearest to me that this guitar sold out the first day it came .

  • There was a forum like this a while back, i'll say the same thing as i did there. get a classical (nylon) string guitar. The cheap classicals sound a hell of a lot better than cheap steel strings (which just sound scratchy). Nylons last longer (steel strings need a metal pipe through the neck, so it doesnt warp under the tension of the strings; lots of cheap steel string dont have this bar, and warp quickly). and classicals are much easier to play wider neck, lighter strings, easier on your fingers).

    • my self i don't really like classical guitar because it gotta play with amp isn't? but i do like your idea thou, how about this one http://www.acousticcentre.com.au/guitars/beginners the 79$ ones(is that too small, what size this guitar really is compare to the one that I've mentioned up top).

no they dont need an amp, they are just as loud as a normal acoustic (you can get massive acoustics that are probably louder).

Yea the Valencia guitars are pretty decent, my school used to have about 30 of them, some had giant holes in them, that still worked.

Best thing about those is they are actual guitars that you can go in store and look at.
I think this one is full size

Not sure where you live but there are Allans music and billy hyde's everywhere now. Or any local music store should have one. just go in, try it, and buy it online if it's cheaper:>

(i had a friend that flew down to Melbourne just to check out music stores, with the intention of buying online)

        • nice one bro, i might get one from this shop which one u reckon http://www.allansbillyhyde.com.au/prod/tc14/valencia_nylon_s…
          or

stbellco, I appreciate that you're new to guitars and don't want to spend that much, but el cheapo guitars can ensure that you'll never want to play.

Common problems with cheap guitars are poor sound, high action (ie. it's harder to push the strings down) and problems staying in tune (and they have to be in tune to sound good).

I'd recommend increasing your budget so that you can afford something like a Washburn D10 (should be able to get around $250 - $300) or an Ashton (which are generally cheap). Even Yamahas make good guitars under $500. That way you can be sure that you'll have a good guitar to play on. Even if you don't end up going with guitar, you'll still be able to sell it at a decent price, which cannot be said for the el cheapo models.

Also of note, RRPs on guitars are rarely followed. If you go in-store, just straight out ask for 33% off the price and see how they react. Sometimes you can even end up with 50% off, RRPs and guitars are a magical land in Australia.

    • appreciate you helps mate, but…… what is RRPs? :D
