There were at least 10 trays left at 2pm today. Strawberries are large, sweet and not overripe. Very good price at $2.89/kg.

Something like this happened earlier in the year, $7 for the tray.

Ended up freezing most of them (had to throw some away) and then having strawberry smoothies for the next month or two.

  Yes, trays of 15x 250g punnets for $7 - $1.87/kg at the end of August. Bought multiple trays and froze 2/3 right away to avoid wastage.

  Blend your strawberries into a puree, whisk some thickened cream, fold strawberry puree into cream and freeze for a few hours. It'll almost be like strawberry soft serve.

Waiting for them to get to $7. Hopefully blueberries as well. Still got some jam leftover from the trays I bought earlier.
