Auto parts stores prices

It has come to my attention that people may not actually know that auto parts stores like Bursons, Repco and SCA aren’t fixed with their prices.

They usually have a lot of wiggle room on their prices (dependant on the item). All you need to do is simply ask them “is this the best price you can do?”

For example, Bosch Aerotwin wipers are advertised for around $40 each, but I know Bursons and SCA can do them for $25 each if you ask. Same goes for things like tools and OEM replacement parts.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I ever paid full retail price at an auto parts store. Are people aware this can be done?

What are some good prices you personally know can be given by simply asking?

Thank you Antik. I did not know this.

  • Lol, supercheap will not just knock money off an item for you.
If you have a trade discount, or if you are asking for a price match, sure.

    • Have you ever tried? I’ve done it many many times

      • I mean I worked at supercheap for 10 years until very recently.
Repco etc have a lot more control over pricing than supercheap does

  • Upload a receipt and post a link to it showing this 'discount' to convince us OP.

  • op, just curious, can you haggle on products which are already on sale?
