  • why isn't master debit card accepted but visa debit is?

Agree - no PayPal, no Mastercard debit accepted. Pretty average.

    • Our payment processor Worldpay does not accept Mastercard Debit. I assume its due to the merchant costs.

  • controlled my self from buying as there is no paypal. but the deal is pretty good.

  • Does awesomebargains store our Credit Card details or is the Credit Card payment processed through a third party by forwarding to their web page to enter credit card details like you do with PayPal?? Good deal but I am more concerned about giving Credit Card details to individual online stores which is not a good idea at all.
Not like in US, in here banks don't refund if somebody steal from your credit card. So it's all up to the owner of the card to make sure the details are secure. This is a country where secure payment methods like PayPal is most important.

I also want to buy the cable but I don't want to publish my credit card details in the open. Unless, it accepts PayPal, I am not going to risk my details for 50 cents.

    • All payments are processed by Worldpay, Worldpay are Europes leading credit card payment provider, no credit card details are stored on our website and we do not have access to them through worldpay. We dont use paypal due to its less then awesome customer service and high costs. You can find out more about Worldpay by using a search engine.

      • As long as you redirect to WorldPay to enter credit card details, that's good enough. I know many online retailers are using WorldPay. I will give it a go. Thanks for the clarifications. +1 from me.

        • I just bought. I can confirm that it transfers the session to worldpay site before you enter CreditCard details and it's a secure site. Secure enough for me.

  • same here. No Paypal, no buy from me

It's true that PayPal has become a defacto standard in CreditCard payments. However having almost a monopoly their fee should be higher. So that it is understandable that retailers can't allow paypal if the margin is too low unless they have an arrangement with paypal to pay Not based on number of transactions.

I can remember I MWave didn't honor my purchase last week and didn't send me the D-Link router when I had bought it within first couple of minutes after the deal went active. That's because I paid from paypal. But they send an email stating that the stock was limited as a reason for not honoring it. However my friend who purchased long after me who paid directly from CreditCard received the item. I know the reason is that they didn't want to pay few more cents to paypal. So Mwave gave a fake reason in email cancelling the order.

In that case this is better to tell the customer that you can't afford paypal but you have an alternative secure way to pay which is worldpay.

  • added one into cart but got this msg "I'm sorry but you have purchased over the allowed limit."

  • My 2 cents….I bought the same item on the same deal from the same place several weeks ago. So far they have 'apparently' sent it twice, but I have not received it. Waiting for the 3rd one now! Wish me luck….

  • whats the length of the chord ?

    • Hi its 100cm.

    • +4

Two or more musical notes sounded simultaneously are known as a chord, and length can vary depending on what song is played.

Or are you asking about the cord?

      In which case 100cm.

    • the link you provided is $1 each
and here is selling 49c each

      but I wouldn't buy from both anyway… :P

  • Got all the way to the submit payment button on Worldpay and it says "Cannot find an available route for the purchase. This may be caused by merchant configuration or remote systems failures." Frustrating to have difficulties with a 49 cent purchase :(

    • Hi you get that error message when you try to pay with a Mastercard Debit card.

      • Thanks awesomebargains, I clearly did not read the deal close enough. Dick move on my part.

  • my confirmation of payment came back with a strangers address and name, really dodgy….i have a screen dump….and my housemate wants one and we keep getting "I'm sorry but you have purchased over the allowed limit."

  • I received my cable yesterday which is UNUSABLE as you can not plug it into USB port. The two sides of the USB socket is pressed and bent in so that I can not plug it in. I took some pictures of it, but how can I share it.
It's a bargain but unusable so it's not awesome :(

    • Hi rmamila, sorry to hear about that, please contact us ASAP through the contact us link on our website or email [email protected] please provide your order details and we will send out a replacement.
