The Good Guys Commercial Query

Hi all,

Just got onto GGC and was having a look this morning and the prices for items I were looking at this morning were way cheaper then they are listed now.

Do they have specials on products? Do prices change regularly ?

Just curious at how it actually works, because all the prices just match the normal good guys prices now for everything o have checked out.

Thank You,

I can't tell you exactly how it works, but just be careful with it. Not all items from their normal website are on the commercial site and the ones that are are not necessarily cheaper than their regular site.

I always still get whatever the price is from their regular and commercial sites and do my "due diligence" by checking everywhere else to make sure it's actually cheap.

You can, or at least could, use the get a quote function to lock in a price for 30 days.

Interesting legal "trick" by large retailers. If you buy on your negotiated quote it is called negotiated contract, the warranty ends on the day stipulated period! If you buy on a take it or leave it you might have extra warranty rights under the ACL.

  • It's for businesses with commerical agreements with TGG; for example, as an employee perk. My employer does the same with JB Commercial - most things are $10 less at best and the range is very limited compared to the full JB Hifi website

They aren't "commercial" or cost prices

  • There are no specials and not everything from the retail website is on the commercial website (no PS5 consoles if anyone is thinking about it). Pricing is hit or miss, some might be significantly cheaper, some just the same price or just $10-$20 lesser than retail. Probably the cheapest item I got was a Brother color printer which was $429 on retail and $325 at commercial.

You just have to look through both retail and commercial sites before making a decision.
