New 75"-85" TV Budget up to $4,000

Looking to purchase a new TV to replace my current 8 year old flat screen.

Looking for recommendations around my price point.

Good quality images for sports is important as is integration with current apps such as Stan, Neflix etc.

Also looking for an ease of use remote.

I have been recommended the following options so far.

Sony X90J 75" Bravia XR Full Array LED 4K [2021] $3295
Sony A80J 65" Bravia XR OLED 4K [2021] $3495
Sony X85J 85" Bravia 4K UHD [2021] $3995

TIA

As you have listed 65" recommendation above you might also consider
    Sony x95j 65" Currently $3295
    Sony x95j 75" Currently $4495.
Sony has a CashRewards deal (10% off).
    Expires end 7th Nov.
VideoPro (Brisbane) Has the LG G1 65" Currently $3850
Currently out of stock, but this price has not changed
    for months.
    All models have Rtings reviews.
    Watch some YouTube reviews.
Consider waiting for Back Friday Sale (Nov 26)

    • Thanks for the reply, I do have access to staff pricing on most TV's pricing / Back Friday not really important.

  • I have been researching similar to you and the X90J 75" seems like the best value. Apparently the drop-off if you go X85J is significant because of lack of Full Array Local Dimming.

I think lock in the right size you want, because if you were considering 85" then I think 65" is going to feel small. The other you could consider is the TCL C825 85" (currently $4395 but with $300 cashback). Apparently, it should be very similar to the R646 in the US is on Rtings. You can read about it on the Whirlpool TCL thread
