  I thought one could anyway get a 5 day free trial of their preferred contact lenses (without giving alcon all your details, print a voucher etc). I got the 5 day pack of Total 1s from specsavers. Of course I had to tell them I need to try the alcons.

    Same. These are the only contacts my eyes will tolerate of the few I tried. They are a little pricey (as are most single use lenses)

    Was in the "Contact lens assessment" you booked with Specsavers? I might need to book an eye test to update my records first, so I'm guessing I'll need two separate appointments.

      Yes, it was the contact lens assessment. U can specifically ask them to try any specific brand of lenses.

  Maybe unrelated but how do people wear contact lenses? I can't be the only one scared of putting stuff in my eyes. Or is it something that people just overcome?
