  • Is the capacity of the battery clearly written on the power bank?

Want one for international travel and I know security often will check the capacity in Thailand of these.

    • +2

      Yes it is mate.

      • Thanks, ordered the 20,000mAh model!

      • Hi there, i'm trying to buy the 10,000mah link and it keeps coming up with $39.99 and free prime delivery?

        • The deal was valid till 5.10pm mate. You can still buy it at zyrontech.com.au at same price

          • @ibelievesyd: Thanks for that. I bought one and been using it for a while. Its very slender, unlike my other fat 10,000 mah one. Cheers

Never have I been checked. Sometimes I carry 3 through the x-ray as well or just put them in your checked baggage

      • +1

I don't think I've ever been checked in Australia, but Thailand they always checked and there were bins full of unlabelled power banks they made people dump.

        • +1

+1 even when transiting through Bangkok I have had them checked.

  • +3

Purchased the 20,000mah unit from a previous OzB post; Battery only charges to 3 of 4 of the LED indicators after only a couple recharges and quite often come back to find devices aren't charging on it and need to reconnect to get it working (charging when I original connected the device). Have arranged sending it back with Amazon.

    got the 10k mah

Sounds like it will work well with the Oculus.

  • Does it provide power pass through when charging / charged.
Looking for a powerbank I can use a UPS of sorts for a Unifi Cloud Key

  • The power bank looks way too similar to this

And their website's 66W GaN Charger looks too similar to Hyper

My guess is Zyron rebrands a generic power bank from somewhere.

AS/NZ Standards: The G92PD Power bank has been tested to AS/NZ 62368.1-2018 standards

I think it would be good to show this somewhere, be in Amazon / Zyron tech website.

And from the company's about us page, " Zyron Tech is dedicated to develop the top notch quick charge devices to help you go beyond your limits."
IMHO, I think rebranding isn't development.

Personally, I don't think this is a bad deal. I just think that starting a small shop selling rebranded stuffs and claim to be aussie company to earn the trust isn't cool.

    • From ebay seller description: "Zyron Tech is 100% Australian owned & operated. A specialised manufacturer of Premium range of Fast Charging consumer electronics and mobility products, specially GaN Chargers & Power banks."

But they have said in previous posts they don't manufacture anything (at least that's my recollection)…

Neg because misleading to state they manufacture power banks, but all the power banks they sell are rebranded stuff from china. And i'm sure cheaper somewhere on aliexpress!

      • The deeper I search into this company, the fishier it smells.

They have a kickstarter for their GaN charger. Funding period Mar 22 2021 - Apr 21 2021 (30 days). And in the timeline, it has idea and concept in Nov 2020, R&D in Dec 2020, prototype in Jan 2021, etc.

But in July 2020, 9to5Mac already reviewed a GaN charger ridiculously similar to Zyron's " World Smallest" GaN charger.

        • Kickstarter to get Alibaba to print a logo on a product for you. Ok…

    • I have already clarified this in previous posts.

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/belkin-boostup-charge-68w…

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/alogic-rapid-power-2-port…

Please see these 2 products. Would you say that either Belkin or Alogic are rebranded? Or you would close your eyes because they are already established US brands? They both source this product from CE Link who manufactures these chargers for them. If their practices are legitimate for you then I don’t think Zyron’s should be a problem. You can check Alogic’s about us page and you’ll find that they claim themselves as manufacturers. We don’t believe it is wrong. We deal exclusively with factories to manufacture based on our requirements. Just like Alogic, Satechi and many others.

Our 156W charger is manufactured by same factory that manufactures for Satechi.

Note that Hyper’s charger is $100 and Zyron sells similar spec for $50-60. Both has the same factory.

      • You are clearly not a manufacturer.

  • Would you say that either Belkin or Alogic are rebranded?
    Yes

Or you would close your eyes because they are already established US brands?
    No.

You can check Alogic’s about us page and you’ll find that they claim themselves as manufacturers.
Shaming other companies' wrong doesn't make Zyron right.

We don’t believe it is wrong.
I agree, if Zyron's goal is to earn quick buck, and there is nothing wrong with that. Just don't mention R&D, when there is no R and no D.

I work in R&D sector, and I totally support the idea Australia should have more R&D companies. I do wish Zyron would succeed someday in creating their own superior product, and can proudly claim that as Made in Australia.

Mate at the prices that we sell we are not in for the big bucks if you compare with others. We could easily work with cheap products or factories for money but we work with top factories that produces for Satechi and soon with factories that does for Baseus. The support from the community has been unbelievable. 2 years down the line we’ll have our own moulds designed in Australia that you’ll find nowhere. Make in Australia is the ultimate goal :)
